Assume you have a story where a crafter is given a rank based on his profiency in his trade. Assume this person may be a blacksmith or magical enchanter. How would you rate their proficiencies? Currently I have from least proficient to most proficient: Apprentice (basically the place where noobs start, level 0) \/ Learned \/ Skilled \/ <Proficiency missing. What should be here?> (basically the level of college undergraduates) \/ Master \/ Elite (probably not the best) \/ Legendary \/ Epic \/ Sacred (referring to how it's the level of divinely crafted items)
Skilled \/ expert \/ Master \/ Origin /Creator (after this level all skill have to be self created and cannot be teach to others unless simplified, all levels above this are to diferetnitate the level of self created skills)
I think Master > Epic > Elite. Probably added Talented in the missing 1? This is my view on your rank: Sacred > Legendary > Master > Epic > Elite > Talented > Skilled > Learned > Apprentice Maybe just added 1 more rank call Grandmaster above Master for a full 10 ranks. I read many stories where they didn't stop at 10 ranks but with 13 ranks, so with your ranking then I added something like this: Creator > Eternal > Mythology > Sacred > Legendary > Grandmaster > Master > Epic > Elite > Talented > Skilled > Learned > Apprentice
Apprentice - Learned - Skilled - Elite - Master - Grandmaster - Legendary - Epic - Sacred Maybe changing legendary and epic placements with each other might be better but doesn't change much.
Journeyman: /ˈjərnēmən/ noun a worker or sports player who is reliable but not outstanding. "a solid journeyman professional" historical a person who has served an apprenticeship at a trade or handicraft and is certified to work at it assisting or under another person.
Apprentice -> Junior -> Intermediate -> Advanced -> Senior -> Master -> Grandmaster -> Legendary -> Divine
Same as others, the basic ones, just tag in "Meister" and "Magnus". Also good use of the prefix "Prime" works too, instead the usual "Arch" ex PrimeMagnus
Keep it simple. "Oh shit that's Nyyu1224 a rarely seen lvl 9 blacksmith. I can only dream of reaching that godly level since I am only a lvl 4 blacksmith."
Back when craft professions were a thing in the real world, I believe "journeyman" was the step between apprentice and master, which signifies that you can be trusted to do most things but you aren't really super awesome yet. That could go in there, although I'd probably put it in the lineup before "skilled" or just break it into like - Apprentice -> Senior Apprentice -> Novice Journeyman -> Senior Journeyman -> Master -> Grandmaster -> Legendary Smith -> Demigod Smith -> Divine Smith
