that mother is such fail. its like calling up tech support about your computer but its just not plugged in for power. The mother not leaving her house makes sense incase the daughter returns. Her not leaving her room though is major fail.
I guess you could treasure this story, and to retell it again later in the future with your gang, "Just how hilarious back then." maybe?
Just as a thought, what she did was dumb and she owes everyone a sincere apology, probably even dinner and the drinks for the next outing? Seems to me any mom I know could whiff and end up with this one. Don't know why but most... aren't the most rational beings once they are worried. Ever seen a guy get the "wife's water broke" call the first time, its not usually the proudest moment of his masculinity and decisive logic. Forgetting keys, losing it, yelling, and standing stock still. Just next time, she better not complain when you give her, did you check her room, the kitchen, basement, garage, if her car is there, keys are on the (wherever they get put), deadbolt is in place, 20 questions routine before you move her worries into semi-legitimate status. If she tells you she checked the room and she didn't then burn her (socially), cause she's doesn't care or is on drugs and worthless.
She said that she did not listen her daughter arrive and the door being closed. Then, when she thought that it was strange that she wasn't at home, the mum called us. When my friend was found, the mother told us that she did not inspect her room. That was what made me crazy
I dunno if the pic changed by the time I saw it, but I see Shield Hero manga, with the racoon(?) girl staring at a cat. My dad will sometimes walk around the house asking everyone where I am, if I went out, and never check my room, despite walking past it at least three times.

Yeah I found out too late that i missed up the title but oh well, my skin is thick enough to endure this face slap Sorry for misinforming you. But shield hero is also another one that I love since it is one of my first three novels. Haaaa those were the good times.
