Which is a better cover? Edit: The story is Fantasy based, but has a dark feel to it. this one? (Original) Spoiler: Original Cover Or this one? (New and fixed) Spoiler: New Cover
personally the first one draws my attention while the other one might be a little dark for my taste and i'll probably just look over it. Also the title for the first one is more popped out for me since its literally circled, the second title also pops up but the first thing I look at is the picture of the girl. But it also depends on the story if it was more dark dystopian themed I would get the second title off the bat, but the first one gives me more of a fantasy fairy vibe. But if we were talking about just art and not the genre of book I was looking for, it would probably be the first one. Hope this helps you.
I kind of wish the 2nd one had the artistic renderings of the 1st, because like said before, 2nd draws me in more, but I like the way the 1st looks... so hard to decide >_<
2nd one just has more of a vpowerful impact. Slightly mysterious. Intriguing. Basically it makes me interested in what kind of story it could be.
Well, it's a fantasy with a dark vibe since it's a bit realistic and not an always happy go lucky story. I'm not actually sure if the wooden background would be a good choice for red and an antler so I dismissed the thought. But i'll try making it later. That's good then, I was aiming for that. Thanks!
The second one is the one that would draw attention first. But I would outline the text to make it pop out slightly more since you have a dark red background. EDIT: BTDubbs, I design ads for a newspaper so if you need some help, hmu
Thanks. Yeah, I'm having a bit of dilemma on that, but the second does have a mysterious feel to it. It's an original story I'm making. But it has only 13 chapters so far. You can read it at the community fictions section of the forum. I'll take note of that.
I like how the 2nd one is drawn and the red background drawn me. The text just seem out of place for me...
I'm currently looking for a way to make it stand out or in place haha, but I'm running out of ideas. I tried it here, but it comes out more of a bloody horror cover than a mysterious fantasy
