Already tried it when she checked kn what I was doing and you know what? She did it perfectly probably the only time i got a perfect score on an assignment.
Haha. it wouldn't work with me either. Both my parents are accountants. My dad's dad was even a teacher.
Cool mom, btw. Is she really angry if you didn't get passing grade? My parents usually only pats my head and told me to do better next time since my grades is my responsibilities and I will the one that need them in the future.
Algebra is useful in many better paying job. It's concepts are used in programming all the time. It's used in business all the time. It's used in architecture/construction.... although geometry is used more. Besides, what is important is to learn how to learn. So that in the future, you will continue to learn and stay at the fore-front of your chosen occupation. You want the nice car, perfect significant other, money for vacations.... Guess what, your already competing, and if you don't take advantage of your youth, you will fall into mediocrity very quickly. In the end it is your choice, just be aware that by not pursing excellence, your signing up for a less than amazing life.
I agree with this and you should also try the same with your teacher. Who knows, he might even give you another shot at the exam.
Well, just read through the textbook and read more questions. Let your parents decide what they should take away to motivate you, but have a condition added on so that you can get your allowance or phone back.
ze only time i failed maths is back in 8th grade first semester..got 7 out of 100....i was beaten so black and blue i lost count how many times i fainted....never got less than 90 agter that....
Have a plan ready before you tell her on how you plan to fix it, where you initially fucked up, and she will be much more accomodating. Say you've reflected on it, and stick to it!! Dont make yourself a liar. And think fast so you can tell her asap
me mom burned half my face by accident once with a cloth iron...she assumed it was cold....my skin peeled back on the iron
I thought passing grade is 50-60 unless you mean honour roll. Try to tell her your best grade you have with it to soften the blow and just say the teacher was really bad at explaining the subject. Basically push the blame unto the teachers
Sure nothing wrong with knowing more but the problem is that when someone(me) who does not like a certain subject(math) will have more trouble learning things in the said subject because they dont like it and will either consciosly or sub-consciously reject the knowledge we learn from lessons. Said people will naturaly have low grades. So what are the ways for that said person to learn more about a certain subject?
Definitely tell her immediately, because you will only start to feel worse and worse about hiding it, which will seriously have an impact on your life. If you are constantly stressed about hiding it, you will start to fall behind even more or in other classes because of the stress. At least that has happened to me in the past.
If you know what type of questions you are doing bad in, take the initiative to tell your parents that you didn't do as well as you expected, and ask if she can help you with those problems that you thought you did well in. You will always have courses you're bad at, and you should focus on improving for it next time. It's the initiative to improve that matters. I have a learning disability, so my parents already knew I will do bad in school, and told me to quit and get a job because I had trouble passing mandatory courses in highschool. Although I have gotten a lot of low grades and fail a lot, I still manage to get my Computer Programming & Analyst diploma, and currently almost finish my bachelor in Software Development.
Don't stress it. I failed a few classes and I graduated with a 3.4 gpa. Summer classes and online classes are your friends
