    Welp here goes.

The novel subforums (novel general, novel discussion, pickup requests, and "I'm looking for") are all set to a higher standard than the other subforums like community games and general chat. Usually people are looking for "real" answers. So when people troll, the original poster and us, the mods, get annoyed (in my case, vein-plusingly pissed).

The most clear case of this is when people suggest Boku no Pico and/or invisible dragon. *Some* people might actually have enjoyed it, but that doesn't mean the op would. I can't tell how many times I've warned people about this and their defense is that they liked it. It's not so much a question of whether you liked it, but what the op is actually looking for. If someone is asking for something they can read with family, no one should suggest boku no Pico (which doesn't even make sense as a suggestion cause it's animated). Unless if the OP has made it clear that they're ok with badly written, really a joke of a novel, please stop suggesting it or at the very least, explain it fully.

If you derail a thread to have a personal argument, I hate the both of you >_> take it to PM's, you're being a public nuisance like my cousin climbing the Larry's gorilla.

And now for some translation politics...
Just cause someone doesn't agree with you doesn't mean either of you are right or wrong. More than likely, you are both wrong because of your lack of ability to be objective. So chill the f out and try to have a meaningful discussion.

    >_> I'm busy with college, so this rant is not as glorious as the usual.

    Yay Parth!

    I'll stop recommending Invisible Dragon...
Even though 90% of the time, it actually fits to what the OP wants...
    Don't ban me...

I would treat them as attention seeker... rather than giving them warning or ban their accounts, how about reduce their "likes" count?

    /me puts on sjw suit.
Now I'm triggered! To dare assume some one else taste. You are just assuming they wont like it. It could be that would be one of the minority that ends up like it.
    /end sjw
Give us a sub forum where we can troll and shit post, and you might see less of it else where since it's hard to supress them urges. ::feelsbadman::

Tips to recommend Invisible Dragon :
    - Only when OP is either new member or member
    - Only when OP is asking for it (dragon MC, OP MC, chaotic evil MC)
    - Must complement it with the relevant answers
    - (optional) Add smilies :)

Get Tony to give those repeat recommenders a permanent title like das's. Something that says idiot! Though they might actually like that...

I know it's a joke, but honestly I don't have anything against the people the who suggest Invisible dragon. I'm pretty sure most of them are either troll or at the very least, know their reply will be considered as being a troll reply.

If I had to be even more general about it, the whole concept of giving a rec and not explaining why irks me. It's lazy. you have to give the pros and cons to stuff and I always see shit like "This is awesome". Ok, cool it's awesome. But why? Don't be sheep. Question the world. Get out of your cave. Rawr!

(I recently started taking a philosophy class and we're talking about Plato's The Cave.)

I just think it's sad. If it was before when people first started doing it then that's a different matter. But to keep recommending it as a troll answer even now, to me is plain sad. Move on to something new people~

... and, is it awesome? :blobReach:

on a side note: If some random strangers on this forum wouldn't have suggested The Non-Visible Reptile - I wouldn't have had the pleasure to read it and make a new experience ...:blobparty:

What really irritates me - especially in <Question> or <Recommendations> threads - is the fact that a lot of posters either didn't read the question/'what-the-OP-is-looking-for' at all or suffer reading difficulties as their answer (excluding ID suggestions) has nuffin to do with what the OP asked for, however, the posters didn't even try to troll the thread.:blobsalt:

Although I do suggest invisible dragon, (the novel somehow fits most of criterias. ( I know it's troll).) I also suggest some real answers so it's never a problem. Though if you want I will stop suggesting it:cry:.
And how can a rant only be 4 para long???????

I got the asumption that invisible dragon are an all in one novel.
Its action, romance, slice of life, comedy, xianxia, xuanhuan, genderbender, yuri, yaoi, fantasy, mystery, horror, shounen, seinen, shoujo, josei, mature and horror all at the same time.
So it should be okay to recomend it to anyone asking for any kind of novel..
    Right? :)

I would not recommend Invisible Dragon to a new member. Invisible Dragon only makes sense when you already read a lot of novels and understand "generic" and "tropes". It is like fine wine and should not be given to minors.

The perfect time to recommend it is when someone says they are bored and want something different. (and if it is not on their reading list). Only those people can truly appreciate it.
