Hi, I'm saph. Prolific shitposter, and officially banned from this site. If you recognize my avatar, you may remember some of my posts. The more astute amongst you might remember the many failed discussions I attempted to start threads on. If you do, then you should know that you are the person I am making this thread for. On the 10th of May, 2017, I was unceremoniously banned from posting on NUF permanently, after responding to a tag on Tony's profile. I couldn't possibly imagine that my response, which was simply a snarky way of asking the big man to PM me, was the cause of my ban. So I asked my friends who were intimately familiar with the rules. I was given many different possible reasons for my ban. Maybe Tony didn't like me because I always sounded negative. Maybe Tony didn't like me because he didn't like my sense of humour. However, no one I spoke to thought that I had broken the rules. It wasn't fair, but it's a private site, and Tony can ban whoever he wants. I stayed quiet for a while, but after a few months, I cracked and made a new account, called shisheru. It might come as a surprise to some of you, but during my time on this site, I genuinely enjoyed the discussions that I participated in with the community. I felt NUF was the only place that I could post my nerdy essays on web novels and manga. Despite my numerous criticisms on the community and how the site was run, I did like NUF. I spent an entire year of my life on it. Unfortunately, my second account didn't last that long. After I was banned, I felt my entire motivation to continue using NUF just disappear. Most of my friends no longer used the site, and the discussion I loved was more sparse than ever. Even the silly threads which ranted about certain genres of novels came as a rare surprise. I felt it was time to go. So here we are. I hope everyone I don't regularly talk to on discord sees this, and I hope you understand that you'll never see me again. unless you google my name and find my writing blog
I got rid of you because I thought you were toxic. You seem like the type that would try to bring those down around you just to make yourself feel better.
Ehhh, I understand how you feel saph. I tried to come back to NUF but it's all strict now, and every once in a while my posts get deleted. The good ol days when Lachiel and FlowingSong were mods has ended, and with the newer mods the strictness just kept increasing. You should just do what I did and move on to another forum to have fun. I'm only on NUF now when I see an interesting thread pop up on NU.
