So, the magical chips which eat tons of electiricity every day, creates heat and needs powered high rpm fans to cooldown, ever reach the efficiency and power equal to a human brain. Where not only will the procesor be able to think, and create, but also question, working on only 5Kw and generating almost negligeble heat?

Will the time of BIO tech ever come?

Not sure what you are asking, but just an fyi, computers operate fundamentally different than the human brain. The human brain is more like a neural network while modern PC are mostly single processors. In terms of efficiency, its a matter of what application you are using it for.

PS I pity the Core 2 Duo people with AES acceleration.

I am asking nothing. Just thinking out loud when will our techies leave the metal processors behind and start diving in the mysteries of human brain.

I remember years back, as a Tech We were joking about needing a medical degree cause Biotech was supposed to be a thing (like 2 decades ago). It was in theory supposed to come into its own in storage mediums at first, but who knows. Maybe once nano machines are more practical they will merge the techs. A lot of progress has come in regards to interfacing biology with synthetic materials since those days. Well, we're certainly at a rough patch with materials currently....

You do know, that study of how brain and neural network ,works and reacts has played a big role in development of AI, robotics etc

    well. . .Humans. . .
it's just that our self made science and technology is so low tech, that we still can't understand the state of the art technology that made us. .
