I think it's a horrible idea. Pushing your fandom on someone else, imagine all those yaoi lovers telling you your fandom is wrong cause it doesn't have 'bishie's" in it. Forcing you own child down your path isn't the dao dood.

    It sounds cool~
But the name can't be strange, and if the name sounds too much out of your ethnicity or of your partner's or country's then you should rethink which would be alright.... or just get the meaning of the name and see if there's one with the same meaning and sounds cool~:blobhero:

how to solve the awkwardness of giving your child a chinese name?
go study in china, it is mandatory to have a chinese name. finish the study and go back home, have a kid, and give it a chinese name with a valid.reason and guilt free.

ps. my name is Su 粟 Yun 云.. which I found that yun (cloud) is a girls name... NO REGRETS

    It depends.

For example: some people tend have their name related to their religion. While some with one that would suit them, while there are some others who would just go randomly and choose from anywhere/ everywhere..

I figure my kids will end up hating me in the long run regardless, so i might as well start giving them reasons right off the bat.

I'll name my first child something cringe-worthy, Dragon God Orsted for instance.
And then Child number two will be called, OP-MC.
I'm sure they'll hate each other as much as they hate me.

If you have a child named "chu feng" and he is a bit of a problem child imagine the school calling you saying

    "Your son did it again"

First thing you would think about is him unleashing genocide or raping someone.

well it's not the first time, that are a lot of people that name their kids after favorite TV show characters or something

but I would say it's a bit odd seeing some white kid named something Japanese like Sasuke, although there are a few names I think people could get away with that doesn't make others do a double take and ask for their name again, like, I think you could get away with "Gai", though the kid might get tired of people misspelling it constantly

Both are perfectly normal names in Germany.

Also, compared to some of the names people come up with nowadays, quite a few would be a relief for the children... (Also, wasn't there an american couple who named their son Aryan Nation or smth like that?

Edit: it was their daughter, their son is named Adolf Hitler...
Yay, apparently he already starts to threaten murder at the tender age of eight...

"Dragon God Orsted can you answer this question?"
"Huh? What? Oh... it's um... 25?"
"Mr. Dragon God Orsted see me in detention, you are clearly not paying attention to my class. We might also need to call your parents."
    "Oh god no."
