White ppl calling Asian names

I feel you

 

Ive heard so many different pronunciation of my name; ive come to accept it all

 

Fook Mi and Fook Yu

 

To my fellow brethen.
Let us get together and

 

They spell my real name wrong which make me embarrassing

 

I have a pretty white, very simple two syllable name that gets murdered by white people all the time and my name is not Asian

 

This is why English names are useful.

 

I have a very simple 4-letter, 2-syllable name - and they still butcher it

 

For me it's worst...
I have an English name... It's literally the first thing you see when you look at the name list in class...
What the teachers say instead, my Chinese name, mutilating it so badly...
Why can't they use my perfectly simple English name that is only 3 freakin letters???

It's preposterous!

 

I have a very "white" name for an asian... starts with a J and you wouldnt expect it to be my name.

 

I got..........2 names....
a native name and a chinese one.....
The native one is the one people called me by. But most people don't even know how to spell my name correctly on the first try......
It's hard to pronounce my native name in english because it sound wrong......
But even tho it's hard to pronounce it, my name is actually quite simple (3 words) when you change it to english
On the other hand, my chinese name is never used....

 

And that's why everyone call me by my first name after trying (and failing) to say my surname...

 

My real name is very unique, so much that I havent seen it being used by a second person.

Off course I am too proud of it, it does as a result have some effects,

People almost never get my name right, and I dont correct them either. As a result, people know me by many similar sounding names which are way off than my original.

If we do become close, they realise on their own, otherwise I dont mind.

Name is like a cloth, you should be able to decide how you want to wear it.
