volare welcomes crime thriller "The Sketch Artist"!

It’s Friday the 13th, so lock the doors, dive into your covers, and curl up with The Sketch Artist written by Teresa Ge, translated by Guan Zhong! We’ve been teasing this crime thriller for the last couple of weeks, and in fact held a reader vote to select the cover. “B” won out during the vote, but we also heard your voices and GZ has put together this new take on the cover!



GZ is an amazing translator who cut his teeth translating on SPC.net and classical Chinese works, and you might’ve already seen some of his work with regards to wuxia novel covers and Nie Yinniang.

This is also volare’s first direct partnership with an author, and Teresa has shown great interest in the scene. She’s commented and shared our Facebook posts, so give her a wave in the comments! The Sketch Artist is a dual MC novel that will call out to CSI, NCIS, Elementary, and Sherlock fans. Sketch artist Zhang Chi is the hippie/emotional/play-it-by-ear type and officer Gu Shi is the serious/cold/analytical/scientific one. They end up as partners solving a murder in a novel that may very well be the first to grace the scene.
