[Elephant Swallowing Technique] is overpowered. Remember the last time someone had to eat a tree?

 

To be fair, it's not a bad idea to give Yi Yun a reason to go to the Alchemist country and take a bunch of flames to feed to the fire seed. I'm sure each Alchemist Sage has a top quality flame (like that Extreme Frost-ice flame). Might as well feed the fire seed. Though I doubt either of the top 2 flames can be found here.

 

am i the only one who suddenly realises that the totems from the beginning are komplete useless?

 

nah we just stopped talking about them at some point. u can only complain for so long.....

 

Not really. I mean, it is like having an animal companion. Plus, depending on the Totem, they can boost the user's laws or strength. The problem here is that Yi Yun now has perfect laws, Pure Yang became secondary and he has the Heretical God Fire Seed, so the Golden Crow has not much use anymore (*obligatory nine neonate mention*). One can argue that totems are actually an effort from humans to mimic bloodlines, considering their uses. The 10k Mystic Totem Technique even has the Beast Mark of Life, where the user completely fuses with a beast and they grow together. This is a step further into this mimicking of bloodlines. Plus, the user can have up to 3 of those, so it can be argued that at some point totem techniques might surpass bloodlines (if cultivated properly and choosing the right beasts), except for the inborn body strength. Not only that, with PC perfecting the technique, Yi Yun even managed to get a Pure Yang Body so I don't think I'm too far from the truth here. In lower realms we have close to zero fey bones, so acquiring or strengthening a bloodline is impossible, therefore totems do the trick. At least those are my assumptions on the matter based on everything we were told and read.

 

Totems are supposed to enter the body after HA , so most of the times , we might just not know when they are used outside of MC.

 

I don't think it is a fixed think, more like a acquired ability. Yi Yun did use the Golden Crow a lot outside of his body even after he became a HA warrior. Last time he used it he basically used his wings and he was already at Dao Palace if I'm not wrong, so it would be this fusion ability you spoke of.

 

This is what I like about YY..
He's always humble, compassionate, kind and loving at the same time while being quiet too.
But, when he gets serious and angry he will become the most worse enemy to others.

Also, he's unlike the other xianxia MC where they are so busy getting girls will having big plot armor.
He doesn't move with his d*ck on his head.

Yi Yun is really not pulling any stops in this farce to shame MIP. Good for him that no one saw through his disguise yet. Hopefully the next few chapters wrap things up on this mini arc and we have a mini cultivation arc in preparation for the gathering a few years later when MIP will be done for once and for all. It's about time Yi Yun finishes consolidating his realm and uses his new loot to boost his strength. Before he could breakthrough small realms with treasures without a problem, so I don't think anything will hinder him from reaching 4-floor DP in 3 years if he has the divine tree and enough treasures (there is no major breakthrough involved and he will have time to consolidate each floor before trying to reach the next). This level should be enough to face a decent Supremacy at the initial stages and win, so it is a good place to be before the battle.
