I use word replacer II extension (on chrome) for glossary, but I still mostly use systranet for the actual translator since overall it's much better than e.g. google or bing.

Also, a tip, use a popup dictionary (e.g. perapera) so you can simply hover over chinese characters and have a popup with the meanings on the fly.

Sometimes you still need to google for meanings of idioms etc, but it's neat.

Is your systranet working fine these days? when i try to load pages with it i often get bad gateway, while loading the original chinese side never gives problems.

Sometimes TL sounded weird, for smoother and better TL, you've gotta check each words, since many Chinese words have multiple meanings. MDBG also gives the literal & figurative meaning, so it's a big help for TL!

Damn! Chinese slang, figurative words etc... It really kills and could fry one's brain.... Here's some nice & helpful reference!

Besides systranet, baidu helps to make the TL more understandable and relatable for chinese-like sentences. Sentences literally translated sometimes doesn't reach the meaning for ppl who aren't proficient in Chinese, but for ppl like me (Mandarin learner), we can really relate the meanings with what baidu translated. I'd give them 4/5. In some cases, baidu also translates slang! Which is awesome~~

Don't forget to substitute the character/specialized names to avoid wrong or undefined translation!

I use the regular since site/web-page translation never seem to work. It was a bit annoying to get used to but there's just too many problems with google and bing

LOL when i said substitute, i meant just type in the words when you paste the Chinese words. For translating Chinese to English, substitute the name with any words (A, B, etc)

    Example:
    “为什么……为什么是我……司夜寒……为什么一定要是我……”
    “为什么……为什么是我……SYH……为什么一定要是我……”

    English meaning:
"Why.... Why is it me.... Si Yehan.... why must it be me..."

**司夜寒 (Si Yehan) is the name of a character. So, if MTL it might be translated as 'Division Night Cold'. Which totally doesn't make sense.
