He needs to master the landfold technique. Wouldn't that kind of qualify. Running away makes for a great defense imo.

Yes but he has no talent in that technique, giving that he is not one to focus in things he is not good at I don't think he will give it mutch mind.

I'll be a bit surprised if he lets the Chimera Maker go.

It seems a bit off to me that, while his homeworld is suffering under the attacks of the demons, their hero is just twiddling his thumbs, waiting for Vulcan to show up again.

Well at least something good came out of it. Wondering how is Vulcan planning on starting his new training.

I think its best if vulcan just summon the highest god after 12 days and get over with the act 2 boss..
Revange is good and all, but if he waste all of his marbles for revange, he will need to grind a hundred years more for them..
Because grinding levels and skills looks like it will take much more time and effort than that..

Someone said this elsewhere (perhaps in the comments of a chapter), but I doubt the gods are idiots. Even if it's not technically against the rules (which it may well be), I doubt the gods would just say 'Oh, haha, you found a loophole!' and let him advance.

Wasn't stated on the quest of Asgard Act 2 to show he has strengh enough to compare to a God, I don't think that summoning would count as his own strengh.

I hope he remembers to account for the affects of flooding the market.

I wonder where he's going to find a merchant he can trust to not rip him off though. Its not like he knows the real value of those ingredients, and pretty much everyone in the city is going to know how rich he is.
One, I don't think any of the summonable Battle Gods are strong enough, and two, if that would work, then why is Blue Dragon still working so hard to collect Vitality Marbles?

You know, I was just thinking...when Vulcan goes back in time to save Earth, what about Phantaero?

Phantaero said that Vulcan was the one who motivated him enough that he actually found the Holy Sword, so if Vulcan never meets him due to time shenanigans, wouldn't it be decently possible for Phantaero to fail to find the sword?

My bad Jacobpaige, I hit 'Reply' without thinking instead of just posting a new post.

Well, hopefully Vulcan thought to ask him where he found the sword. If he did, then it shouldn't be difficult for him to go and grab it and then gift it to Phantaero. It would also be an excellent way of repaying him for saving Vulcan's life.

    It's cool.

The spoilers are progressive. it is quite nice story, so I wouldn't recommend reading them
It's... well, most of the remaining story will be about
Act3/godhood. All those who ascend they become gods. Most of the give up on physical growth, but grew they "godhood" - believers/power/etc.
That journey will have some stuff like recurring enemy
Chimera guy/eater as the bad guy
    Also feature
MC getting levels as demon npc (getting slaughtered by demon like he did in his marble grinding).
    Finding
Tower to ascend (defeating the bosses and moving onto next level). This will
cause MC to hit his limits (no mo xp can be acummulated). So he will re-roll and start over choosing super human instead of demigod
    And mandatory ending
New realm possible, new journeys will await if/when MC finishes the tower

But what about Earth? Does he save his family? Or will the author leave it as unknown? (Really hate it when they do that!)

You are aware that everyone in act one is a legendary genius existence (even the shopkeeper jake) that you can't catch up to with mere training alone. Those guys aren't talents they are the best of the best of entire worlds

But players are one that tend to rely too much on the system to reach that the best in the world spot. As been said...
But there are people that can train them from the ground to solidify their basics in act 1. Just like how vulcan re-train real magic there.
