Discussion Is this the ruining of BTTH?

Like TDG and DD now BTTH got it own animation, and so far I watched bits of each episodes, can't say I'm impressed, what do all the nuf here think, is it going to ruin it or be better in the long run

If you read the novel first, no matter how bad the anime is, you'll just continue reading.

 

it all depends on the person.the animations can ruin the picture of the characters you imagine and the fact that the animation would change things in the novel which can be annoying in my opinion but if its done right it can be enjoyable. best you do is though is to just read the whole entire novel once it released then watch the animation and criticize the living shit out of it.

 

not an excuse to make the animation suck, a good one or not at all I believe, cause this lower the quality of the novel people may think the novel is as bad as the animation if they have never read it before watching

 

I watched it on youtube and i thought it was pretty cool

How can a anime ruin a novel that's already been ruined.
Jokes aside who'd suffer through the anime anyway.

 

I'm not really reading the novel anymore. Nor am I watching much anime these days so don't really care tbh~

 

Well manhua of BTTH is considerably different from novel, so animation is bound to be different too..
Well if I have to stick to it, I will stick to novel I guess.

 

Well lets say it destroys the visualization that is on your mind of a character. As you read the novel you constantly also visualize character features. Damn the difference betn yao lao i visualized and shown in anime is too great..Fk.
Also Nalan Yanran is shown to be more arrogant and irritating to great extent which is not on a novel.

 

I don't really like the anime... If at least it followed in the manhua, i can still watch it. But the animation kinda weird??? I mean, the characters all grown up...

 

Desolate Era's anime adaptation was like a fanfic. It's so different like Coiling Dragon manhwa. While The King's Avatar was flashy, it's somewhat faithful to adaptation.

So it'll probably be depended on the director of the anime if it will be faithful or not.

 

Welp, for one, they will not put in all the novel's detail with each 20 minutes episode..
It is wether they can still produce the experience even with such cuts...
But BTTH is just your generic shounen xianxia/xuanhuan novel, so I doubt theres anything that can be ruined.. if at all..
Its not a holywood adaptation after all.. where they forced the egos of the director that want a name for themself and change the storyline to their liking.

Well Twin, I read the manga and novel so I kinda have an image of Xiao Yan based on those two so the animation became unpalatable to me, I understand that's it's not bad but the characters looks and some points in their attitudes make me feel like this is ruining the original
