So I somehow overlooked this one and was pretty shocked when I saw it. But the question before I dive in and possibly get scarred is if I should watch it. Can you guys let me know if it's worth it to watch or will I regret it?
it's horrible, but kind of what you'd expect from the source. got about the same depth as the kiddie pool. but if you like the source you'll probably not get any lasting ailments.
Depends, in the novel the mc is already pretty bad. He do not have a profound driving force, he's already too op and at the same time lucky. And he quickly got his harem. and then stuff all that to a 12 episode anime. You be the judge. Ps. The animation is so-so konosuba is much better than this
It's mediocre at best It was really bland. Even the mild ecchi scenes it had from episode to episode couldn't save it... and the "plot" seemed more important than the ACTUAL plot anyways, which was nonexistent if I may add. You can probably watch the first episode then watch the last episode and there'd be no discomfort Up to you whether you wanna waste your time, but yeah, waste of time (I ended up watching all 12 eps anyways) If I had to say something good... I liked the bgm at least? You're better off watching Konosuba or something tho
It is about 10000000X worse than the novel. It is literally too sad. It didn't even feel like they were trying. If you read the novel, I'll give you an example: In the scene where the butler gets hit by the arrow (they didn't even bother drawing in an archer, so butler gets hit by an arrow yet no one shot it). So butler gets healed by MC and they then tell MC about how many people died. But the dukes daughter completely ignores that and is super go-lucky out to hug the MC. Then when they meet the duke, the duke out of nowhere does a bow to the MC to show his gratitude. (EXCEPT, the bow he uses is noth the bow of thankfulness or the bow of respect, no he does the bow you do to your king!) There is so much issue it isn't funny. There were mild ecchi scenes? Even the terrible slime episode they added showed less skin than the beach episode.
Hence the "mild" lol If at least that, I wished they'd done it right. Whole anime feels like a cop out. =_= "Hey this is popular and can potentially make us money! Why don't we make it into an anime??" "But let's save on the production budget. Just add some panty shots and cleavage, that'll please those hormone crazy teens."
The Novel is shit, the anime is even shittier. The characters have no personality, It's pretty much an extremely generic isekai, harem.
Yeppers, the ending was SO lame...and I love Knights and Magic so much...still traumatized, don't even want to read latest chapters right now...
"It is about 10000000X worse than the novel. It is literally too sad. It didn't even feel like they were trying." Mhh, i don't know, i've read the LN till Chapter 180 so far and i thought the anime is pretty much the same as the LN. Yes, there are some deaths that doesn’t appear in the Anime, but that doesn’t really change the story. But in general it's (as already mentioned) the typical harem-romance-fantasy story without anything special. I even hoped for some more romance... but it's nothing special in the point either
It does make you like the girls more, Suushie has a really interesting lilting voice, but I thought that the acting was overdone. They frequently miss the timing or something but you ended up feeling awkward more than impressed. Especially those moments where the girls get angry at Touya...
