So, what has acually happened? From what I gathered so far, Volare was doing fan translation, then QI licensed it and used the fan translation with little to no alterations on their site?

1)the "original person" its not even here im afraid, probably the authors of the novels dont even know wth its happening with their novels
2) they didn't stole it u dumfuc...dummy, i would advise you to learn history or else u will receive a lot of hate for speaking/writing without knowledge of the situation
3)u only need to know that qi it's only the original publisher of the novel, they novels were not in english before and some people start to translate them and people it's voluntarily giving them money so they could focus in the translations, after all translators are normal persons and cant live of gratitude so please better think before say something stupid as "money making" schemes" ppl wanted more chapters and they didnt have enough time with just their free time after work, college or whatever they were doing so they use patreon, seriously i know that there are some translators that get into this just for money but thats a minority, after this was know by qi the original publisher they tried to hire the translators and make a bussiness out of this, but the problem lais in the work ethics of qi, people hate them bcuz of that
to summarize : threats, slave contract (literally slave contract), don't know if this qualifies but fraud i dont really dare to say it bcuz my knowledge its shallow in this matter but u only need to investigate the thing that happened with gt and qi to see how hateful can be qi
4)not sure again of this but if some translators are not working with qi even though they translate "their" novels it must be because they were working on these novels before qi appeared and they don't want to sign the slave contract or be associated with such company (just an assumption but i'm pretty sure the real authors are also under the slave contract or maybe something worst, so they probably can't say anything in this matter or else they will get screwed by qi)

Let's come up with something witty...

The sponsored reply sounds like bs. Even if you use the same vocabulary and writing style, it' impossible to get nearly the same style of Chinese to English translation. Even with native speakers, there are different standards and styles of writing. From the screenshot proofs, it' obvious it's just an edited version.

Plus:
The translated chapters by volare of eewc is still linked on the novel updates site. If you have seen the cultivation chat group novel posted on QI not the whole story was posted. As I did not follow that novel, I'm not sure, but I'm pretty sure the front part was translated on volare and on their site so the translator did not bother retranslating it.
Believe it or not the translator for eewc said the chapter was out late as she had to translate the previous 200 chapters. But it isn' counted as translating when every single part of the volare translated novel was simply ctrl+p.
But then again, that was the only novel I read from QI so I'm not sure.
But if cultivation chat group did not translate(copy) the previous already translated chapter, why can't EEWC be the same? This is not fair for the previous translators that got their money through hard work but the QI translators just stealing it away.
Enlighten me if you think I said something wrong.
