They will never take it down. They will simply stall and drag this on and on because they can afford the lawyer & court fees.

It doesn't matter how similar the 2 translation is this time, If QI takes down the novel without a legal battle, only because someone make a complain, QI encourage others to make request to take down QI's novel

for example, if QI cave in this time, anyone can just translate a QI's novel without QI's permission and later complain the similarity to the QI's version and asks for compensation. Considering two translation are derived from same original novel, there always be sameness.

obviously QI is being evil again, but for a "good" reason (QI's perspective)

also, QI is very unlikely to lost the case, because the translator "stole" the translation is just a contractor to QI and not formal employee of QI, and QI already pay the translation. QI could simply blame everything on the translator if court think there is enough similarity to be consider as stealing

But heres the thing, when qi tries to change some of the aspect in translation (like the name of martial art etc)people will say they cannot accept the change and it feels weird after the change.
When QI inherit the same terminology or word choice, it becomes plagiarism.
I guess its just hard to translate Something that has already been translated.
Afterall, arent they supposed to have the same meaning since they are just a translation of the same text?If they are different, then i think its more problematic then being similar.
