How do you make a table?

Well, people already linked the help page with the how to, so... I'm just going to put the way I make mine, since I think the directives on the help page were quite confusing and... Had lots of stuff that were apparently useless.

You have plenty of options that give the same result, I just go with [TH][/TH] because I feel like it. (see below for explanation)

Well, the most important thing you need when making a table, is organization... If you put things on the right order, NUF will put them in the right places, but... That doesn't make it any easier for you to make them.

So... Make sure to put the lines separate from one another, it will make the text clean enough for you to handle... Like this.

Seems pretty organized, right? Now... Well, put the table on the post and... Use the preview function.

It's not hard to make the tables, but it's easy to mess up while making them, use the preview and check things out, it won't hurt you, and might help you in making sure everything is alright.

Once you do check it... Post it up!

Looks nice, doesn't it? Doesn't take too much effort, but... Well, use a PC if you want to make a big table, it's easier to see the whole thing on one.

Oh, and as you could see, I usually put my tables on spoilers, makes it easy for people to scroll through the text, and makes the magical blank space that sometimes appear out of nowhere seem less weird.

It's not that hard once you get used to it tbh, I use tables with some frequency on AG, and they look decently neat.

 

No idea, the ones I made on one of AG's thread: https://forum.novelupdates.com/posts/3180035/ uses the exact same format I used just now, but the one on AG has no big random space, while this one has.

I decided to not bother thinking about it.

 

Oh I didn't notice that XD When I checked it before the table was flush with the top. How odd.

If I had to guess it's because of the [container ] preventing the table from moving.

That's the weird part... I tried doing this, but there was no result... At least none on the preview...

So... I just thought... "Oh well! \(^^)/"

I don't really understand how those types of things happen...

 

Aaaaaaaaah!!! I got the problem now!

It's a weird thing my phone does on the rich text editor, when I copy paste things, some random spacing is added for no reason! >.<

I had tried removing only the space between [TABLE] and [TR]! I hadn't tried removing the random space between each line because there was supposed to be none there in the first place! >.<

Bad phone! Bad!!!

Edit: The extra space between the [TABLE] and [TR] things also mattered btw, you were right on that, but the chunk of the space was because of the random space that shouldn't be there! >.<

 

Since this is sufficiently answered, I would just like to post something here so that I can earn some nuffies for my eventual name change.
