@Renzy Different time zones, so that won't work.
I said something about this earlier:

Basically, the GM would confirm everything at a certain time each day. Eg. A 'server time'
Would avoid a slew of things, such as cluttering the thread, and, what you're concerned about, people not being able to claim due to time limitations (they get it as long as it's before the GM's post). Would also theoretically result in less work, since they'd be doing it all in one sitting instead of multiple, and would only need to start from their last post, instead of looking for each player's last individually. (Which would help prevent people trying to sneak past the GM, cuz their post would be plain as day.)

 

Thanks for the tidbit; know when you've been considered to have left a dungeon? When it's confirmed / DM posts that action / when you state it?

Spoiler: Example

1. I enter the mines and mine the ores, then leave w/ 2 Copper ores -- Would it count as me leaving here, or :
2. Would the DM have to say some like "You've mined 10 Copper Ores, place 2 in your bag and left"
3. or when the DM confirms it.

@Prodigy because you already have 3 mines.. @Elfidro and @Wireath can only get 10% of the ores from now.
@ImaBlacksmith until you got 3 mines, @Unsleepyknight and @UnderconstructorKnight will still mine 20% of my ores

 

The problem you would then have is the GM having to post at exactly the same time every day, as well as being on every single day.
The GM would then have to sift through all of the posts, ensuring no one slipped in a second one.
The other problem with that is you would have to wait for the GM to do this one big post, meaning you won't be able to do any crafting or trading using that material until the GM confirms it.
Tbh, I think that would frustrate a lot of people because they would have to wait ages after posting, as opposed to posting and then getting your free material.
Also, I'm more likely to forget about the thread if I only did one big post, I work better when it's a post every now and then.

It will work because in NU the time is fixed.
example.. my country is GMT+8...
In my place its 6:30 pm.. I know that NU time is 10:30 am.. so you just dedect your time with your timezone.

If we could follw the GMT time zone. Then the free material is easy to handle... as long as you get the free material in that day you'll get it.. We always follow the GMT time.. not our countrys time zone
