So, If the author removes the song and apologize, he can get back to the series? How does this work? Or should he pay fine for unauthorized usage of song?

Are you reading the same novel as we are? The author is so nationalistic, he shits knockoff electronics.
Disney should feel honored that he deigned to plagar- er... reference their intellectual property.

Which doesn't matter at all if the author is Chinese and posted his works on a Chinese site.

Being different nationality and in a different country doesn’t matter, there’s something called International Copyright Laws. And they sued Qidian, which was the Chinese site, therefore making Qidian talk to the author. You can’t just implement someone’s real life work without giving them the credit, which the author didn’t do.

Of course the country matters. China is notorious for not giving a shit about copyright laws. It's one of the biggest producers of counterfeit goods in the world. While they may have signed onto international copyright treaties; they certainly do not enforce it to the standard of Western countries. Why would they? Baidu for instance links to all sorts of counterfeit goods websites and the government doesn't do anything because they get a large cut of Baidu's revenue.

I really doubt Disney sued Qidian. They don't just immediately sue anybody who uses their song lyrics. They would send a c&d letter threatening to sue. So the author removes the lyrics and everything is fine. Removing the novel likely has nothing to do with Disney.

Someone should link to the thread where the translator replied and answered why the novel is on hiatus

You forgot to mention the excess plagiarism of basically everything from everything.

So many stupid comments here. It's sad to see how young people view nationalism. Remember when people took pride in their culture and heritage? I remember. It was a bad novel like most chinese webnovels, but it was a fun read nonetheless.

You should try at least. There's a lot of chapters and till it catches up to the raws it will still take around a year at least, so till then the novel might start again.

Do not. Just don't. The novel's purpose is satisfaction. Every adversary he meets is a jerk with IQ in the single digits. The story is repetitive and predictable. On the other hand, the novel has some literary value, but it's lost in translation, not because of CkTalon, but because the meaning can't be conveyed.

I mean, a lot of people are into wish fulfillment stories. I really don't go here for the literary content, I go here for the giggles. And I think its being translated by Legge now.

Just read it. It's a really easy skim read, you wont really miss much. As MrNebulist said, its really repetetive and predictable. I know thats probably not a pro and most possibly a con. It's no where near good, but it is entertaining.

A novel where MC has fucked the head of The State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television of the People's Republic of China, I am totally not surprised that the novel gat banned.
Alrighr, enough jokes, the actual reason Why IRAS get banned May because of the copyright issue, the author has copied a huge amount of lyrics in his writing. Its understandable since he is writing about celebrity's life. But the problem is that in the novel author claims MC to be the one who wrote these lyrics, which makes it problematic.
