This was one of the first novels I started translating and the first one to introduce me to some odd behaviors lol I intend to complete this novel as soon as I can and I am targeting January next year but December this year is also possible, we will see. https://www.novelupdates.com/series/evil-god-average/ The second to last side story and then I can move on to the main story with a double release hopefully next time https://www.asianhobbyist.com/evil-god-average-chapter-64/ Cheers!
I am continuing from where the previous translator stopped I prefer to use the Syosetu chapter numbers. So Chapter 69 is Volume 3 Part 4 https://ncode.syosetu.com/n0537cm/69/
Started a Donation drive to complete this novel. Goal set at $20 https://www.asianhobbyist.com/support-to-complete-evil-god-average/
There seems to be a misunderstanding. No chapters were skipped. I simply went back to translate side stories that the previous translator skipped
this is the first novel that I finished reading and you're telling me there is still some side stories?!!!
Hooray for Ega's SS's being translated!!!! \(^^)/ Looking forward to how they'll deal with the Anri statue... Though I'm pretty amazed at how she didn't notice the intellect part... >.>
OMG, this last chapter! Anri-sama's statue getting baited by coins is so cute~ ... Now to hope that it won't break the barrier made by the 3 holy weapons + Sofia's blessing.
okay so is this almost translated or no? It mentions three volumes but Asian hobyist doesn't use volume listing and just lists chapter number. Since I think it's almost done I wanted to wait until it was done to start reading. I don't want to be left hanging on the climax on the off chance translation stops again as it seems it did for a while before.
It ends at chapter 82 So we are on 75. Only 7 chapters left and I am working on it I have translated the last two(81 and 82) so it is actually 5 chapters. I will be done soon. Either this month or early next month
Sweet. I should probably start it soon then since I hardly have enough free time anyway to read 75 chapters that quickly. I really do appreciate the work you people do but I can't help but be catious after feeling the pain of so many projects I liked getting dropped part way. Often times I understand why it was dropped when a reason is given but that doesn't change the fact I'm left hanging with an unfinished translation. and of course the shitty official translation intentially holds out on us so that they can make money off sales between the release of each book. I swear some people wonder why so many read fan translated works and that's the main reason IMO. Money issues aside reliable fan translations give more regular releases. P.S. Although I said all that I am thinking of checking out I Became a Demon Lord at least to see if it's worth waiting for and if I really like it I might make it one of the ones I take the risk of staying up to date with.
You are welcome. It's nice to be appreciated. I had a $20 donation drive to complete this and I beat my goal. I am working on getting sponsors for novels in the future to help reduce costs. Ad Revenue alone will not cover the costs. Maou Ni already has 3 bonus chapters on Patreon if you are interested in that. I don't fault official translations regardless of what they do. Although their business model is flawed. That is why Adv went bankrupt. Translators cost money especially the good ones and if they don't make money translators will drop novel. It is just a fact. My translators continue the novels because they get paid pretty well. I can say that I pay even better than Qidian in some instances. I am proud of what I do regardless of the hate I garner in this community. Enjoy yourself. Cheers!
The way you said that reminds me of this one translator. His works just showed up in bunches on the main page and were all porn novels with weird titles like "A world where woman are managed by men" and stuff. Anyway it was hard to not notice that and I took a few peaks out of curiosity. But then like a month or two there is a batch release and then nothing at all. Again I was curious and I saw the last three 'announcement" posts listed were basically the translator crying like a baby about all the hate they were getting. I felt sympathy during the first one but really by the third one I really doubted it was as bad as they were acting. Seemed to me they just somehow expected to put out translation works on the internet and NOT get any trolls hating on them. ESPECIALLY since they were doing nothing but really niche fetish porn novels and I mean REALLY niche. Some stuff I peaked at due to weird titles gave me the "who the hell likes this" kind of feeling. Anyway point is they just apparently really couldn't take the preassure that really they should have seen comming given what they were translating and called it quits as they basically did the internet equivalent of running out the door crying. At that point I felt like they were just an attention whore that thought they could just a bunch of easy internet traffic by translating a bunch of crazy porn and rage quit when the hate comments started coming in. Overall I really do sympathize with the kind of pointless trash you guys have to deal with and respect that you keep going. Unlike that other person who couldn't even take a month of being on Novel Updates before running away while berating their own readers.
Sticks and stones... Humans are a lot more fragile than we think. I would rather take sticks and stones over hurtful words. To me the sad thing is that the same person bashing translators will then make pick up requests. To me it's a lesson in futility. They simply shoot themselves in the foot. There was someone who made a pick up request but attacked me when I picked up the novel and was translating it. How easily the tune changed. Then again, not long after I got my first donation of $1 and it felt worth it haha. It's one of the reasons I stick to Japanese novels. From my experience, I deal with less crap. Then again they have Wuxiaworld and Qidian to whine about me not being as fast as those companies. I also got attacked by translators too, a big site(before Qidian came) tried to poach my translator. Luckily it was just my Editor posting chapters haha. I could write a book. At the end of the day it's worth it. I have built very good business relationships with translators but most importantly : Books save lives I read this story on a Wuxiaworld forum post which spurred me on to create my own website : http://www.globaltimes.cn/content/1038829.shtml I have received similar comments
