i think you behind a firewall by your school. the solution is NOT to use the school internet. if your phone plans have lots of data quota, i suggest you tether your phone for internet instead.
Also, how the heck is it a pc you bought from your school and you own, but you don't have admin rights on? Do you need to log into your school account when you boot the computer up? Because if that's the case it's probably always going through the schools network and filtering even when you are at home.
No i don't have axcess to a dvd or a disc copy Yes you have to log onto the domain, also I should mention, my house has block open dns installed on the network as well
I meant a blank DVD-R you can write to or maybe a flashdrive over 4gb? Otherwise you can try a factory reset maybe.
Do you have any proxies bevause all of them are blocked... No, i do not. How do you do a factory reset
https://neosmart.net/wiki/restore-to-factory-settings/#Restore_Windows_8_81_to_factory_settings Try without wiping files but you may need to wipe.
I was gonna say that it's the school internet that blocks your websites, but you mentioned it applies to your home internet aswell. that is new to me?, because if you bought the laptop yourself, and it's brand new, no one are supposed to have install it an application that censors your internet usage without your consent. try using a different browser, it may be an adware thats installed on your current browser. or try accessing those website on your phone, if the phone got through and the pc didnt, its defo a software in pc, not a router setup.
If you can't do this then the only option would be: Get your key: (write it down) https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-find-your-windows-8-or-8-1-product-key-2626234 Assuming your US: (make sure the edition is proper) https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows8ISO Make a partition: (and install windows iso there)
I am starting to suspect this is a pc for school use only that you didn't buy but are instead loaned by the school... I would recommend you stop fucking with it before you get fined for tinkering with school property imo. I would go with find a usb and live booting into linux instead of reinstalling windows as people are suggesting as that is the least destructive of any of the methods that will solve your problems without you getting into trouble
Sigh, now that I think about it that method required admin privileges. You'll just have to get a DVD-R(assuming you have a way to burn it) or flashdrive over 4gb.
Also, you could use a VPN like https://windscribe.com/download Once you live boot into linux above, don't try it on your current stuff because most likely the security system won't let it through. But there is a chance your network will block vpns
1. What version of Windows do you have? Windows 7, 8, 10? 2. Do you have an Anti-Virus program? Could it possibly have Parental Control on/configured? 3. If you can, go to -> Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features and list all the programs you currently have. We'll be able to get a better understanding of what type of program we're working with.
this is the key thing imho. even if you can bypass the security, your activities will be logged and you might get in trouble later. if you know the risk and still want to proceed, i don't suggest to tamper the system. either - try to make a bootable linux usb stick (that have been suggested several times, or - burn a live cd (burning one for ubuntu is a trivial process) a bit oot: in a previous office a colleague requested for memory upgrade for his laptop. once the IT personnel install it in, the system just won't boot up. turns out IT had installed an encryption system that use lots (if not all) hardware info as the security key, so when it detects the hardware change, it refused to work. it was a windows system.
