he let james cameron make titanic movies like titanic, lord of the rings, and the matrix (also most likely transformers in the future) were given to their original directors the only other movie he makes is casino royale to be able to change the direction of james bond from random movies like he's gonna do casino royale, not sure if he's gonna do skyfall or spectre tho (most likely not since he's always busy) he basically doesn't have the time or patience to shoot the sequels to movies like he only shot jurassic park 1 cuz back then he was still mainly director and he needed to make something for his firefly company he shot casino royale to revitalize MGM (which has 41% shares in drews name but she's basically a puppet lol) and his last movie before the series ended was gravity which is like a 2011 movie which he makes in 1999 ofc u can't expect people to have the kind of vision that came after avatar and james cameron was already busy with spiderman
oh yea nm i read the thing he's actually a lot smarter than kids his age cuz virginia gets him good education and its not he who has low self esteem. its virginia he's like 6 even rn so he can't have low self esteem already he's just a bit shy like normal kids and also the fact that eric only stays with them like 2-3 months each year

it is almost exactly like it i read the first chap; the author was basically this time trying to explain how exactly he transmigrated like this dude was some smart ivy league kid and the author was in a plane with universal's best directors, producers, musicians, and other big shots and he basically got their memories (which is better since last time some random chinese ad director knew about all these hollywood inside stories, which, while not impossible, is definitely unlikely) in the sequel the first girl is catherine bigelow and the plot starts 2 yrs before the prequel also mc this time was deemed schizophrenic bc he lost his mind for 8 months in a struggle to control his new body so idk how author is gonna deal with the mc having a past record of mental illness
since he wanted to release the good ones when he can finally have his own distribution channels.. and damn author remove the snusnu stuff and his new mc is the passive type .-.
The box office wasnt low. Dont forget that this is the 80s. At that time those results were very good. You are just so used to the box office resukts from Eric's movies which are in the 1Billion. Also, he mostly wants to shot movies that show a lot of skills, unlike Eric who mostly focuses on the box office results. Because of his young age, a lot of people are doubting him, so he wants to prove himself by directing/ making movies that have unique and innovating styles.
