Tell about foods or drinks you've tried just because you're a fan of the tv show, novel or movie. Ramune Soda=Rahxephon Makers Mark bourbon=House Picky Stiks=just about every Japanese anime
I've tried Pocky, and just about any amorphous cartoon has been turned into a generic ice-cream blob with candy eyes, but I don't go much further than color swapped versions of things i would normally eat or drink for anything else.
... Even though there's a lot of variation in its name. When talking coffee, isn't Moonbu-...err... Starbucks the popular choice?
uhhh. . . . . i think i've somehow tasted the things i saw on movies and anime's. . . . . well the available and affordable once that is. . ramen, sushi, melon pan, yakisoba, miso, tempura, chikuwa, boss coffee (aliens love them) oh i think i tried nuka cola once, forget where it was though. . . . also some skyrim cooking like rabbit. . . and some veggie soups, has any one tried horker meat? they said it was tasty,
I'll just stick to my usual foods I eat on a regular bases that being grilled chicken, fried fish(not to often) etc but I don't like trying new things as I'm more comfortable with the food I usually eat.
If cup noodles count then i have tried different types. Tried those cup yakisoba it was soba noodles with yakisoba sauce. It wasn't bad but not salty more sweet black sauce. And I tried omurice, pretty good ,homemade tho. Tried a ice tea from a Japanese brand called oishi, too sweet even though it was black tea with lemon flavour. Springrrols is always good. Can't br8ng my self to eat sushi(raw fish) so I tried kimbimbap(u think it was called that) insides good but can't handle the nori
Gari Gari Kun (the ice cream bar from Ao No Exorcist) actually not bad, not really what I expected though - it was like, plain soda flavored Omurice - mostly disappointing, but the one my first aunt makes isn't that bad Okonomiyaki - actually quite like this, but find it's a bit lacking because there's no rice... I can't really eat dishes that aren't noodles/pasta without rice o3o Takoyaki - super not within expectations, and I tried from many places, they all deflated when I poked them and kinda undercooked and gross Curry Rice - really good. like REALLY good. Curry Hamburger Rice - SUPER good. tried this once at a maid cafe, and it was good man. also really cute looking cuz maid cafe. Hamburger Steak - pretty good Ramen - do I have to say the greatness of Ramen? I prefer instant Korean style ramen though Udon - our family LOVES this. it's really good. I prefer this to ramen. Crepe (Japanese style) - I literally buy so many, they're really good. Have gone for more tame fruit and whip cream to the insane ones that have like, ice cream and cheese cake in them. Parfait (cute, Japanese style) - I had one at both a maid cafe and a hello kitty cafe. They were both really cute. Also they don't use cake like in the French parfaits that I've had, but plain corn flakes, which was really interesting. Hayashi Rice - there's this one j-drama that made me interested in hayashi rice cuz it's literally everywhere (it's a drama with three siblings conning people), but it didn't live up to expectations. it was cute though. Karaage - not really what I expected it to taste like (it always looks shiny and coated in some sort of sauce like orange chicken, at least from what I've seen in the anime, but surprise, it's pretty normal boneless fried chicken) but still tasted good. normally served with lemon, which I also liked As for other things, I can't really remember, so I'll leave it at here.
Ramen but it was not as delicious as it was descripted in anime and Novel. But I like mochi especially ice cream mochi it was the best
I LOVE udon too. Curry rice rocks! It's the milder yellow curry, which is a Korean staple. Try the hotter red curry from Thailand. You will love it, if you like spicy. Try ordering chicken strips and chips instead of fish (yuk) in a fish and chips joint. The malted vinaigrette is as good on chicken as it is on karaage.
