    Hello everyone.
My correct laptop is old and can't handle my work anymore. So I want to buy a new one but I have absolutely no idea what is good or not.
Price doesn't matter but I want a laptop that can handle 3D modeling and creating games in unity or unreal (I'm a game developer)
Right now I find Aouros x9 and Razer blade pro but I wanna know is there any better laptop out there or if not which one is better.

Also before you recommend something I don't want to buy a MSI after all laptop is there for you to move around with it not those 10kg laptops of MSI.

Ps: by the way gtx 1080 is better or gtx 1070 sli?

You say price doesn't matter, but do you have a ceiling like 2000$ or just the best there is. It sounds like you want something light as well?

SLI is Nvidia terminology for their technology which supports 2 or more (up to 4) graphics card to share their workload

by series number, one GTX 1080 should be better that one GTX 1070

and yeah you need to put upper limit for your budget

I can pay around 10 or so grand and yes.
I don't care if the laptop is a little heavy but 10kg of MSI is too much.
But if it's not light it doesn't matter as long it have high specs.

I know but I wonder if gtx 1080 is more powerful than two 1070.

For 3D modeling and creating games, I honestly think a desktop with two monitors would be better performance-wise. That's because the CPU's aren't designed with power conservation in mind, which you need to trade performance for. The same principle applies to the graphics card, which needs to be shrunk down, take less power, and run cooler to be useable in a notebook. I.e. it doesn't perform as well and stuttering frames may happen more often on busy scenes.

That said, you definitely want a notebook with more than 16 GB of RAM, possibly 32, and a solid state drive of at least 256GB. The solid state drive is for quicker load times and pulling those oversized 3D models out from storage and into ram. The RAM is for the large workload that you would expect from 3D modeling. 256GB is actually kinda small, especially for a gaming rig where games can run upwards of 40GB.

I'm not sure what kind of CPU you would need, but I don't think hyperthreading is needed if you're going to go with Intel so i3 or i5 are good candidates. You will need a decent graphics card though, but it sounds like you have a reasonable handle on that. I'm not too sure about AMD processors but I've heard that the newest generation is decent. Do they come in notebooks though?

If you want to avoid the really heavy notebooks, you need to minimize your screen realestate. 17" notebooks tend to be rather heavy to lug around. That said, I've found that 13.3" is far too small a monitor to work on. I even have trouble typing up word documents on one that small. I'd pick 17" personally and just suffer the stiff shoulders but 15" might fit your preferences. Still kind of heavy, but you don't sacrifice too much screen size.

Right now my laptop have 16Ggb for ram and can't handle my work.
Also I have a desktop but I spend around 5 or 6 days of the week moving and I need a laptop to work with it on that time.

Alienware is no good. High price but low specs

I try to find a good company to custom built a laptop for me but all of them work on MSI (which I don't want) or their laptop have weak gpu or don't have much ram.

    Surface is no good.
Their best laptop only have 16gb ram which is equal to my correct laptop and cost 3.3k$.
My old laptop(buy it 6 years ago for 2.1k$) have a better performance than it.

Ehhh.... just go ask some tech guru about his dream setup.

Usually a highend gaming machine will be equipped with the power and flexibility you are looking for. I mean the only difference is the applications you are using it for. And it does parallel if you are creating games with unity n shit.

Wouldn't it be best to get one tailor made and the ones you dont want get it swapped over yourself? Might take longer but at the very least you have your ideal laptop
