Discussion A potentially new genre

**Not sure if there are any authors on site, hopefully there are. But I’m just going to put this out there, it’s sad I’m not an author and I haven’t learnt neither Ch/Jp/Kr or how to write a novel or else I would’ve written my thoughts in a book already.

I’m a person who has lucid dreaming from time to time, although barely. And I was surprised when I found no novels on lucid dreaming, I mean it’s a very great way to connect to your consciousness. How many subjects you could creat from LD:
1. You could cultivate /(spirit,body) in lucid and become powerful in real life.
2. You could upgrade your brains intelligence.
3. You could have an out of body experience and not just inside your head.
4. Novels about about lucid dreamers contesting blah etc.
5. You could awaken your deepest self or power.
6. You could find doors everywhere in your lucid dream, connect it to dimensions or other universe to make a story going

You could literally do anything and a lot more new things as a way to a bit refresh or be more creative in creating a new novel.. sadly I can’t lol. But anyways I was surprised there was none, not even normal novels where the mc goes to another world out of nowhere, you can insert a lucid dream here as a way of connecting.

Sorry for long writing I just had to put this out there. If anybody thinks this idea is meaningless then by all means it’s acceptable. Just wanted to refresh ideas maybe? If anyone has new ideas, feel free too.

Well...There's a french manga called Dreamland. Which is basically what you're talking about...

 

I think there was a Korean or Chinese comic that deals with dreams where the mc can bring back the dead, it was weird

Dimensional Sovereign. Sound similar enough if you didn't finish the entire novel.
And not really a new genre, KR Game System and CN Cultivation sometimes uses this concepts.

 

Some VRMMO literally says, play games while you sleep. A few of them applies stats earned in game levels to real life.

Not really new. There are lots of stories where people have lucid dreams. There's even a korean (porn) webcomic about a guy trapping a succubus in his lucid dreams.

 

virtual reality? vrmmo? i think this is it? its just that many people are on it while LD is just yourself.

oh i remember this manga which a boy can do out of body experience and do nasty stuff. its semi-hentai.

 

If you really did come up with something new, expect it to be hosted on Qidian within a week.

 

It’s true virtual reality and all that game system is a bit close. I guess I just wanted a long 1000+ of dream related novel. I mean we have many VR, systems, cards, so just thought why not adding a refreshing idea lol. Since other ideas are being overused..

 

It's funny because I'm currently writing about it. Dreams are very important to the world im building.

 

I dislike lucid dreaming it takes the fun out of my nightmares when I can fight back.
