you have to confronting the anime a bit differently, that is all. keep ion mind, Death March is NOT a fighting, war, psychological, political, or survival But, it IS a slice of life, foody, and mofu mofu anime. it is a "enjyoy the moment" anime, not a battle junkie one.
I don't see the problem, really. I really like how the animators took the route of FPS for Satou's POV instead of the common RPG windows in other similar animes.
I have this worry with every adaptation of an LN I enjoy. Thankfully, I only feel so-so about deathmarch so the warning signs you mention don't strike the heart as hard as they could.
Sorry to wake up the long gone thread... But, Episode 6 of Death March just straight up denied the whole existence of the guy selling picture cards with the words on the back... All it mentioned is that he 'thought of teaching the kids in his village words'... Not the whole "it's not selling"+
From the Official LN I guess they decided not to include that part since it wasn't major part of the story. I also want to mention starting at episode 4 if i recall correctly it's no longer "Satoo" but "Satou"
"Not a major part of the story"... He ... Spoiler: card makers story I mean, who hasn't read the WN one? Where Satou gets kids to help the guy, one of the kids being an artist and they start producing them on the cheap?
