Is it weird to use a debit/credit card to pay for an itune/games/pre-paid card? Early today, I have to go buy a Blizzard Game Card and I realized that I don't have any cash on me at the time, so I use my debit card to pay for it. As I was paying, I started to think and wonder if it was weird or unusual to use a debit card instead of cash for these cards. What do you think? Edit: For those that are wondering why it was weird to me: it was weird because I could have just use the debit to buy whatever it was that I want to buy with the game card. As for why i didn't; it was because the eshop wouldn't let me to use a debit/credit card to buy that one specific service that I wanted.
You could argue, that it would be weird, if you have a PayPal account, but if you don't have one how else would you get to buy stuff in these shops? And even if you have one there are some "events" where you have to pay less or get 10% more if you use them (at least with iTunes)
Ah... no... there are whole sites dedicated to doing just that. You use a credit card that gives good cash back, buy an amex debit card at discount, then use the amex debit card to buy discount GC that you plan to use. I mean why use cash when you don't get any cash back? All you rich people wasting opportunity to save money with little to no effort... *smh*
Why is it weird? I have a good chunk of money in my debit card just so it could be a replacement to paying for something. Instead of walking around with anxiously fat stacks
Some people buy giftcards with credit\denit card cuz you sometimes get good deals. 5% off $50 giftcard or such.
