Normally I'll turn off adblock and test the site. If it has video ads or pop up ads it'll go back on forever.

Well, yeah. ebisutrasnlations.com isn't an actual website, unlike ebisutranslations.com

If its just the once until i leave that site i generally just click and forget about it.
If its every page, then i'm reading your translation on a stolen site :blobowoevil_horns:

The only thing that's going to make me more likely to take add-block off for a site is a non intrusive request.

some AV can also work/have a function like AdBlock... and depend on the behavior of the ads the site have i usualy just switch to my phone (for easier reading "no AdBlock") or put it in the exception list later on... if the site isn't mantained often or it get annoying ads sometimes, you can also chose to use AdBlock on it and support through donation instead... chose whatever most suitable to you :blobsalute:

    ...
Deactivated on a certain site, yes...
I don't even know how you ask this question, sorry.

If its one every page, it could be considered forcing you to deactivate it.
(Not something much if there aren't any obtrusive ads, and you were still using adblock. Congratulations! You are considered as a famous prick.)

It shouldn't be on every page tho...

There is always a way around any sort of blocker.

My first step is finding that way, then using the site while blocking everything I want to block.

"Letting some through" is the same thing as saying, "oh it's just like a little herpes" to anyone who is in the computer field or knowledgeable about computer safety. There is no such thing as a "safe mass ad". All those use a lot of data to mass farm information, inject objects and etc.

And I'm sure no one who uses them did some massive background and data mining to surmise that it isn't so, they're just "this looks nice and they say they're good and I need money so okay here we go".

While I understand, I'm not putting up my arm as some form of sacrifice.

hahaha ebisutranslations is hilarious. I wouldn't want to disable adblock just to be able to view that each time I visit. In fact, I'll enable my adblock right now just to view their message. lalala
