been thinking about reading ISSTH, but reading some of the reviews have put me off. Is Meng Hao an asshole of a character? I personally dont find it enjoyable following an MC that is overly arrogant, immature, immoral or evil. For example, in tales of demons and god, I almost dropped due to the MC being way too arrogant and immature (luckily he got much better after the first/realm arc).

The MC from way of choice is probably my favorite followed by Bao Xiaochun.

Meng hao is a scholar at heart. He's a money grubber tho. He can't be said to be arrogant or immature
