Should women be praised for being pregnant and giving birth?

This is from a purely physical stand point. Not the raising of the child or anything. The question is about the state of being pregnant.

• No, women are designed to do so, it's normal. Evolution made women so they carry the baby. Men don't get praise for their part in making the baby. You don't praise people for breathing, do you?
• Yes, it's a hard thing to do that is deadly and painful and deserves praise. Being pregnant is very hard on the body and childbirth, even with all the advancements in technology, is deadly and painful. Men don't get praise because they're not physically put out by being pregnant.

Or as someone put it in a discussion "IT'S HARD TO GIVE BIRTH, IT'S A PLEASURE TO CLIMAX" in all caps, I changed nothing of that comment.
Sorry if you feel you wasted your time, lol. I'm just curious what people have to say on the subject. I'm not stating an opinion in this matter.

I think praise is the wrong word here. You can congratulate on getting pregnant but there's really nothing praiseworthy about it...getting pregnant is easy (for the vast majority). What IS praiseworthy is sticking to the commitment of having a child, giving birth and then being a good parent.

Who the f*** are you that women would even care about or need your praise for creating one of the most important people to them.

 

Every gender has their own role, and they should be praised for doing a good job at it…… or at least, just congratulate them.

I think it's pretty normal to praise people after they make it through a painful situation, though?

Like when a kid falls off a bike, you praise the kid when they get back up even though they have a scraped knee.
Like when your friend gets over a painful breakup and starts up a new relationship, you praise your friend.
Like when people make it through high school, they get a diploma and an entire ceremony for it.

Men get praised for their part in the pregnancy too, btw.

 

Just to add.
Females gets praised because she successfully created a life even if its still inside and unborn. Not every female gets pregnant and able to give birth. Plus its like a welcoming party for her to the motherhood phase of her life.

Btw males get praised too you know. Its more of a silent good job.

 

NO! There is cesarean section, you dont need to feel pain anymore. And human are not that good, they give birth because they want to feel needed by the baby and share 50% of them to their baby (in the form of DNA). in china, the mother kill their baby if the baby are female. They want a male baby so the future baby can help them financially in old age.

Its not like males dont do anything while female is pregnant thay also are incredible nervous and do anything to ease her also sometimes seeing close person sufer is more painfull than feeling that pain
