Maybe CSV (the 'old' translator) will pick it again, just hope he doesnt disappear again

 

Maybe we should ask @Tony if its possible to put it in novel pickup request since the translator back down from his promise and originally it's already past 3 months period before last chapter released.

 

CSV is back and I'll see if he can work again on I am the Monarch.

Let's just post it in the pick-up thread. The rule of three month has been placed to regulate the market and not to allow some third rate site to lead the people in circles

 

If you look at how NU defines active translators, you should be able to see that Calvis doesn't really fit the criteria, so it's still possible to make a pick up request thread. But if what @kobatochandaisuki says is true, then such a thread would be unnecessary.

 

That chapter appears to have been deleted, and the page is 404.

The current most-recent update is from October of last year.

We're a week away from being 4 months past the most-recent available chapter.

 

So many whiners feeling entitled to others hard work...

Edit: I want to thank any past and present translators and editors for their hard work. Though mostly only the comments complaining are shown, there are a lot of us who do appreciate the hard work and understand when things don't go as planned.

Did we need to make a novel pickup request?

 

Imo the problem isn't really having a translator working on it or not but is the translator / TL group who are working on it are willing to working seriously on the project.
And by seriously i don't talk about the number of release per week or whatever but having some consistency on the project ; i'd rather have 1CH/ week - 1ch / 2week than having 2-3 CH a week and then suddenly having a MIA TL.
That's mainly the reason why i can't read any Calvis novel at the moment sometimes he pull an absurd number of chapter of honestly kudo to him, but then sometimes he goes mia just like that.
I don't expect him to owe us/me anything i'd rather not follow a novel without knowing if there's going to be a next chapter every chapter i read

 

Look at Kobatochandaisuki, there is a new I am the Monarch chapter 187. It is translated by CSV which explains better than Calvis's version. I am not trying to be rude but CSV's version has more information like about Pierce which was absent from Calvis translation.I still appreciate Calvis for the translation so thank you but I am glad CSV is back.I also hope things get better for CSV's real life issues.

Not trying to be a jerk or anything,

But i really wish you would establish some kind of contract with your translator and be more transparent with them. Your fallout with calvis left a bad taste in the forum, i know hes a jerk (anyone translating 1 chapter and claiming he could take it over is a frekin asshole in my book). But there must be a point to his argument nevertheless. If you need money to breakeven the cost of hosting you should mention it beforehand and split the profit transparently.

Imo, his novels are not that good anyway, and you have plenty of novels that i read and click adds on. I just wish you guys are more consistent on releases.

Awesome! even if it will be slow releases, anything is better than nothing. And to be honest, I wasn't too thrilled with the Calvis's version. Not trying to be mean or anything but it seemed kind of a rushed job with no editing. I mean I can't read korean and I could tell when Roland said that Simon thinks with his hips instead of with his heart, that couldn't have possibly been what was said in context. I even had to do a double take to make sure I read that properly.

Reading CSV's release, it was obviously much better (well there are a few accidental spelling mistakes like "He was Simon’s sole blood relative and sister.", Katy is apparently a he , but that is mostly spelling mistake)

Well either way, glad to see csv back even if releases take a while.

Cut Tony some slack, mention the mods online. He can't do everything, pretty much my stance is to have mods manage NUF and Tony NU issues
On the name of the translator, I keep seeing CSV and my mind goes to excel spreadsheet document format haha
what does CSV stand for?
