I dont know if its just me or it happens normally, but ever since i started learning japanese. My english pronunciation have become crappy. Then it turns to worse when i tried learning korean. Thats too damm hard for gods sake, the whole thing feels like doing some SSS rank Tongue twister!
its normal mainly due to the fact that Japanese lacks a few letters in the enunciation department ~rori~
Its like when maining champions like your main is darius then you practiced zed to main your style for darius will dull
Japanese is easy enough to pronounce. As for Korean, I've figured that relaxing my tongue works best. The language itself was invented so it used the oral cavity to its optimum, without too much excess tongue twisting. Still needs some getting used to though... But if you want to bring up your English pronunciation, just watch some BBC series for a few hours and you're set~ Assuming that your command of English was already good.
I switch languages back and forth just fine XD but that's because I'm used to it haha My voice changes pitches so much though lmao
Eh..I don't know korean but I don't have your problems though? Maybe you're too focused on a particular language when you are learning it, should be easy for you to get it back by watching an english series or something else.
I usually end up using and adapting words from one language in another. Worse even, if the other party also knows both languages then they always understand what you say because their mind can make the same thing.
Translating and knowing the language is different really, translating is a lot more difficult and you need to have an excellent mastery of the two language, especially the language it is translated to. Not to mention the amount of work translating does, I don't think anybody could just handle that. Btw, that's Yukino right ?
usually it's the brain that 'forgets' the language if not frequently used. you can call it rusting... but i don't know if muscles can 'forget'. it gets dull in cases of lack of exercise and the deteriorating rate isn't all that bad, but this is actually my first time hearing that tongue actually 'forgets' how to move lol
Indeed... I too, knew japanese and i really want to help other people. But if i translate right now i will only end up disappointing them.(im currently working hard so that maybe in 1-2 years you guys will have another translator)
I'm currently learning english passively, but I don't have a pronunciation issue with my first language. Probably because I'm only reading english, not listening. I do, however, have problems when writing in my native language now, though not a lot. On a side note, I quite like the profile picture of the OP.
When reading English words don't just read it in your mind, but speak it. Your pronunciation will be better by doing that.
