I was wondering if anyone had reccomendations for novels with those cruel/heartless mages in world's with bloodlines and alchemy. So far in the category I've completed: -WMW (First 600 chapters were great) -Wizard World (Meh) -Age of Adepts (Decent) Thanks beforehand.
Revolution of the 8th Class Mage Powerhouse betrayed by his bbf and reborn with little mercy and overwhelming power Womanizing Mage MC cut people to pieces just because they show perverted look at his women.
Talking as if you're not cruel/heartless yourself. How many plants/animals died each day, just so you can live?
It's not fair to call someone evil just because they're at the top of the food chain. WMW's MC is literally, at the top of the food chain. Just like you killing ants may not be considered evil, gods killing humans is the same.
Ouroboros Record ~Circus of Oubeniel~ Well not exactly bloodlines but still an insane feast for the mind.
is different between killing just enough to survive and killing just because they are blocking the sun during your tanning at the beach
We are talking about the guy who trained and raised up the hero of a plane to the point where he won and then sacrificed him to make a fate coin right? If what he does throughout the novel you don't consider evil I would suggest seeking out a mental health professional.
‘The Death Mage who doesn’t want a fourth time’ could technically qualify: there are various races in the story, and alchemy (magic items and potions, instead of pills and stuff if that’s what you meant). MC isn’t a clear cut “evil” individual (kind to friends and nightmare to enemies), but he is seen by many as evil or doing evil things: getting revenge on those who harm or try to harm him and loved ones, destroying the livelihoods of villages and such so thoroughly that it would take at least decades to recover, messing with souls, raising the dead and using them on enemies, making new races and monsters, creating and using diseases and poisons as biological weapons, harming or killing deities or their servants, drinking the blood of intelligent races (he is a dhampir after all), mentally manipulating and driving other people insane, revealing dark deeds/conspiracy of government officials that causes chaos and lowers people’s faith in their government, and being technically insane which mostly manifests in being incapable of forgiving those who cross a certain line (such as those who are responsible for his mother’s death). Not to mention that the MC isn’t even yet 10 by the time I write this (chap 129 + side chapters) and he is already being called with such things as Second coming of the Demon King (a dude called Guduranis who was so powerful, feared, and badass that he could solo multiple gods at once and plunged the whole world he invaded into chaos and anarchy that still hasn’t recovered even after 100,000 years have passed since his narrow defeat). So I highly recommend this novel even if it doesn’t completely fit your criteria, as the quality is so high that it can more than make up for that.
Don't take me seriously. Arguing about evil is a philosophical argument. "Evil" is created by humans to be applied to other humans to define what they think is morally "just." Everyone has a different definition of evil. Also, humans raise animals all the way to adulthood, all the time, just to slaughter them. If you seriously don't think that's evil, then that means we have different outlooks to life.
