Discussion Weird feeling when going from one novel to another

Have you ever had this weird feeling in you when you've read the current chapter of a novel then moving on to another current chapter of another novel? Cause I just did.

(Let's call em Novel A and B for now.)
Reading the 2nd novel feels weird after the great scene in the novel A and then going to a fight scene of novel B. You would expect that I'll enjoy both ( and I thought I will )... but, It's like I lose focus after enjoying that personality change scene and murdering fools (from novel A), then moving on to a fight scene where the characters uses his new powers (from novel B)... it's like I don't even want to read this novel B for now and want to rip the translators for novel A to do more chapters already... too bad it's a Qidian novel...
Actually, it's a good thing... if you know what I mean. Afterall it's a novel that's about to be premium ( and you smart people know what going Premium means and how to enjoy it )

I'll probably read novel B later on once the feeling goes away.

 

i read 10-15 different novels a day. when i was at my peak of active novels i often read 20 updates at the same time. if i felt weird every time i would go insane

 

Usually happens more often if you bingeread both novels to the end, maybe taking turns to read a few chapters in one then switch to the other.

10-15 a day ? That's a very slow day for me, that's how much a slow night has piled up for me and then add more during the day.

 

I thought the reason was that chapter was just too good I had to mentally digest the greatness for a while

 

Only when reading chapters back to back from novels that are pretty much the same. So when I find the novels that have recently translated novels I will switch from reading about cultivators to mages or from video game theme to romance. All about balance.

 

wow, I just read both and I know how it feels, novel A was very serious and edge on our seats and especially when she killed the dude like a savage but novel B was a battle that was just abrupt. The power-ups in novel B is just to fast and I fights feel to " hey lets have some epic fight scene just t have it, it was kinda force"

 

I break for a few minutes to switch stories in my head before I start reading another novel, so I've never had a problem with switching novels.

I just stick to a genre usually. I pick what to read by mood anyway.

The only thing that makes it difficult to read another nover is when the first ends in a way that pisses me off. An example is like in early shield hero, when the princess screwed the mc over in the duel with the spear hero. That bothered me till the next chapter came out.

 

human adaptability is great, dont question it.
the fact that maybe just you have a need to question that, are you human?

 

I read just 7 novels so...

 

the problem I face is more of imagining the things going from a novel sometimes because some ilustrations makes me imagine some characters in a weird way
I’m reading about 5 novels a day(most of the others are either on hiatus or finishedj

 

All it takes it 2, what matters is how good one novel is to another in a chapter to chapter comparison (not novel to novel)

 

I don't think so. Its like the title of that book "what to expect when you're expecting". I know so and so novel isn't that great but it have it moments, so i lowered my expectancy when switching. My way of doing it is read from the skimmed through novel like IRAS first, then work up to something that i need full attention to like avalon of five element.
