Makes me wonder if this novel will get a live action adaption. I wonder if the producer will make it so great it stand on its own or so bad I'll rather stick with the novel wishing to never have watch the liveaction. But which actors would be willing to pay a semi-gay role? Kinda hard to say if there are R rated scenes.
There's a live action version? I haven't hear about there being one. But if there will be one, one of the best things a producer can do is keep it true to the romance between two men.

There has been a few BL films out. So there is a little hope, just don't know if the audience will be satisfied with actors who r willing to take the roles. I hope the anime version will be good. The last one I saw speaking in Chinese was pretty good. But I think the producer was cooperating with a Japanese company.

china was making a little progress but unfortunately 2016 seemed to rolled it back bc CJD's live action's unprecedented popularity had regulators shook. now a producers will have to go through 10 wringers and hell to just be able to have a character be able to say "i love you" in his thoughts. i mean it's 2018 and a movie as universally acclaimed as 'call me by your name' still get unceremoniously dumped from the beijing film festival lol but if MTMX keeps up her popularity i can see her work getting decent adaptations in maybe another 10 years
