My friends told me that getting a cat should be a good idea. Well, I think so too... Why? It can easily get a little lonely in my place, considering the fact that I live alone in place a little bit big for only 1 person. Honestly, I prefer dogs, but I don't really have that much free time to walk it around and play with it outside the apartment, and I don't like going outdoors too much... Also, if you think that getting a cat's a good idea, can you please recommend me a breed that goes well indoors... Edit: if I'm gonna get a cat, I'm just gonna adopt one from one of those shelters. Also, don't worry, I'm not gonna declaw it. That is, if I get a cat...
1 cats will wreck your shit if your careless desu 2 your curtains will become shit desu 3 couches too desu 4 you are basically giving up your right to privacy cause cats will knock on the door wake you up and walk away desu ps if they have tentacles you must present a loli to them or they will r18 you desu
Noted... I'm not really allergic to hair, but it can get a little annoying every time it gets on my clothes... Ok?...
My advice as an owner of 2 cats: Be prepared for your furniture to be scratch even though you got a scratching post for them Be prepared to buy a lot of Litter ( toilet paper for cats) and clean those up every day. Be prepared to have fur all over your house, since indoor cat shed a lot more than outdoor cats. Be prepared for your cat to play at a certain time that can wreck the house, which can be annoying if you aren't playing with them.
If you want a good cat but like Dogs, get a Maine Coon. They are essentially Dogs in cat skins I.E their personality is very dog like, but they are more independent as a cat. They do require brushing though.
Noted.... I'd rather bare with the hair rather than see a four-legged Smeagol... Honestly, I have no clue... But my furniture looks like those modern sofas, tables, etcetera... Noted... Oh, I think my friend has that?... Thanks for the suggestion...
That's a bit overboard y'know. Cats can be taught not to do these things. You don't actually have to clean the litter box everyday, once a week will do, and in some cases even longer. For the fur, get a proper brush. Brushing a cat will let you get rid of excess fur in a controlled way. For the furniture scratching part I can't say that they do too much damage, but that may just be my cat. Rugs will help keep that damage to a minimum, with proper nail cutting every once in a while (10 days to 2 weeks) though if you're getting a grown cat then It might be difficult if they're not properly used to this. If you plan on letting your cat out every once in a while then be sure to neuter him/her. It'll keep wild cats from propagating. They're a real problem in the ecosystem y'know, America has had over a hundred extinctions because of wild cats. If you don't neuter her then letting them out even once in a while is off the books.
Should you get a cat? If you're not someone who can take care of someone, probably not a good idea. Now, should you get a cat girl? Yes!
