Hey fellow readers! I want to ask if the manhua resembles the novel. I have read up to the part where XY just entered Inner Academy, and I already wanna know when he get the Fallen Heart Flame. So I feel like to skip until that part (getting the Fallen Heart Flame). So I am considering to read the manhua instead the novel because the manhua not that long to read. So can I get the detail in manhua that is not much different when reading the novel? Or Should I stick to reading the novel? Thank you.
Yeah, the character's detail far too different from the novel. The correct one is the 3D animation, IMO.
I actually started with the manhua and it ruined the novel for me. I dropped the manhua and tried to get into the novel but every time i read it, the stupid character from the manhua just comes up in my head and ruin it. The cartoonish illustration really doesn't fit with the gritty nature of most xianxia. Same thing happened with doulou dalou.
Manhua, manga or whatever is totally different from novel. Novels are in almost every case better. Comics just skims trough the story with added pictures. You get the main points(usually many are left out or different), but its totally different experience.
The Novel is amazing! The Manhua is not that great. Reason: They changed some of the story lines. They also downgrade the relationship with the the Ice Girl (Forgot her name since its been awhile since I last read it and as I finished reading the thing no wonder I forgot her name) when they where parting. Skipped some dialogues and some other things. Only reason to Read the Manhua is for Medusa A.K.A Cai Lin's Figure. If its only story Go stick to the novel. All in All? If you want to see Cai Lin's looks go read the manhua but don't take the story seriously. Also made sure too change some lines to make it a Gag(Joke) Like this one This doesn't look Very Xiao Yan now does it? Spoiler: Image of Xiao Yan Doing a Joke which doesn't exist in the novel
Well, maybe you can try watch the 3D animation version. They (the characters' design) resemble the details written in the novel version.
