Sup guys You know I was thinking about the Mangas that ended past the years and then I heard that fairy tale is getting a sequel And the first thing that came to mind was boruto Its terrible They are just doing whatever the fuck they want without caring about what happened in Naruto And now fairy tale is getting a sequel And I have no hope Now I realized that I have never seen a good second generation sequel Its like all of them are just starting up terrible Cause I watched the Eureka seven sequel And that was just It was bad All of could say So let's discuss this Second generation sequels Are they all bad or is it the ones I watched that are bad Name a good one???!
To be fair, Naruto was already crap and on its last leg, Borato just pretty much killed even the minor stuff that made it "watchable". Fairy tale has a lot more leeway than Naruto. Gatchaman Crowds is better than the original Gatchaman, despite it hardly being related. There are a few others.
Not saying that it was good but the second season of Sao was better than the first (can't not be really)...
Meh. Fairy tail was always bad anyway. It can't get that much worse Imo. Not a novel but I think Cobra Kai (TV show) was fucking good for a sequel of an 80's movie.
Boruto wasn't written and drawn by Kishimoto Masashi, the author of Naruto, so this can be an answer to what you said about Boruto disregarding whatever happened to Naruto.
I'd say Love Live! Sunshine!! did fantastic as a sequel, though some fans and otherwise might disagree. In fact, it wouldn't have been as good as it is if it wasn't a sequel, playing around with its own troupes and basically misleading the viewers and say, "hahaha, got ya!"
I did see a few second generation sequels that were good... In fact, I have a lot more faith in second generation sequels than the normal sequels tbh, I have no faith in sequels whatsoever, getting a good sequel is a healthy surprise to me. Fairy Tail is getting a sequel though? Why? I know a sequel for 50 Shades of Grey is being released, but I thought Japan wouldn't follow our footsteps in releasing a sequel to a terrible work. Welp, definitely not reading that one.
