so I wonder if everyone knew if there is a working emulator for ps 3. I try searching online and come across this https://rpcs3.net/ and wonder if everyone ever tries it? if there is other emulator ps3 beside the one I linked and work please tell me too.
rpcs3 is still a work in progress.....i think they made a video with "The Last of Us(?)" and the frame was horrendous.....the current pc aint powerful enuf to emulate PS3 processor.....
You basically need a super computer if you want to run anything well on RPCS3. Its honestly cheaper and easier to just buy a used PS3.
Though some games are working, its still full of bugs and need a really good computer. I think its wiser to buy used ps3 and jailbreak it, or just buy ps4 ahaha.
1 its shit desu~ 2 you need a high spec pc desu~ 3 you need to be a bit tech savy.... ignore the to be a bit desu~ 4 ps3 are cheap nowadays desu
Just play ps2 games. Most ps3 games were shit anyway (in my totally unbiased opinion. Trust me. It isn't because I'm still angry at the "breaking-once-a-month" ps3 that I had.)
https://rpcs3.net/compatibility. It depends on the game, but it looks like at least some games will perform well on it now. Since it's the PS3, though, can I just recommend you get a PS Now subscription? PS Now is like Netflix for PS3 games. Pretty much anything you want to play is on it already (although you should make sure before paying for the subscription) and the games are run on a remote server, so the only thing that matters really is your internet connection. As long as it's good, the game is good. I've used PS Now personally and can testify for the performance. Haven't tried RPCS3 yet.
...? You don't get any games from PS Now. You never download anything. I told you, it's like Netflix. You just scroll through the list of games on it, select one, and bam, it starts playing. No hassle. No problem. ... If you stop paying the sub, you can't play them any more. Your saves are kept, though, so that you can pick the sub up again later and resume where you left off in any game. Y'know, the sub is like $20 (altho I've seen it on sale for $10 pretty often) for a month. In a month, you could pretty much just play whatever it is you want to play on the PS3 and be done with it. The important games are those exclusive to the PS3, and there aren't many. Anything else, you can play on the PC or other consoles anyway.
yeah the selection of the game is quite limited and the only game I am interested was yakuza 5. I saw there are a Yakuza 6 game coming and it remind me that I have not play Yakuza 5 yet, so I am searching for a way to play it. will see how it goes. my internet are so so though.... just afraid I will be cut in the middle of playing...
... If you're not sure, just try RPCS3. It's a free download and I'm reasonably sure you don't intend to pay for the games anyway.. so... It's not like it'd cost you anything to just go try it. I think PS Now is just plain convenient enough to justify subbing to for a month, but it might not suit your circumstances.
I just take a look at RPCS3 Yakuza 5 ain't in the list of playable list, it is still playable to some extent but can't be finished which is a bumper.
Well both Yakuza 4 & 5 are on PS Now. But if your internet ain't good.. There is, like, a 7-day free trial. You could give it a shot. I think you have to have a card attached to your account to even start the free trial, though, and you had better be sure to cancel it before it runs out, because Sony loves to go above and beyond when it comes to charging you money.
