just got idle while reading BTFTLIAW
and was wondering around the forums, then i saw my reading list.
i was gobsmacked at how i reached 200 novels in reading list! (ofc not included rrl)
but anyway that is a solid of 200 followed read novels!

IN MY ALMOST 3years OF READING NOVELS
i started to read novels when i started college just right after i finished reading manga and got bored of it.. AN: (of course we all know the sequence ||(1)Anime < (2)Manga < (3)Translated Novels < (4)Raw Novels|| in which i am hovering at 3.5
[ for those who didnt understand it goes like this, you are in the anime zone, and you got tired of waiting. you read the manga. and then you also got tired of waiting. then you went to its translated novel.. but then you still got tired of waiting. then you go to MTL machine translations. but then you just decided to learn the whole language.. ]

anyway we got off - track
i just want to share this to all young and old novel readers. ( im almost 3 years old in the industry )
that being a novel enthusiast is a really good hobby.
Im a university student pursuing a 4 year degree in the IT industry. (Software Development [well i wanted game development but my university isnt offering one])
In my case. ever since i was first year. i would go around looking somewhere to sit on to read novels in my phone.(obviously i bought a 4g sim to get data connected and read anywhere [having a hobby is expensive you see])
i kept doing this day and night with class or no class. even on vacation. i kept reading and reading and reading. i managed to see how ISSTH,DE,& WOC TL version starts and ends which was very heart breaking (first TL version finished was CD tho)
Those were really good novels. id wait almost the entire day always just to read the updates. like EVERY SINGLE DAY. if i do missed it. i was probably sick or doing requirements.

anyway. we got side tracked again.
this post was suppose to be me discussing how is everyone's reading list doing?
just wanted to post this also since i noticed that i am already almost a 3year old member and still havnt posted anything nice. just wanted to liven things up abit (if i can)

I love novels. and i really love novelupdates for making this site.really made it easy to connect with all the novels out there. :)

Special Thanks to everyone who will read and comment this post. its only a discussion anyway about reading lists :)

So, you must have finished a lot of trash novels too...
Why don't you put a list of books you rate as 4.5/5 and above...
It will be nice to know if our lists match and see if some hidden gems can be unearthed

Btw I started with Manga, saw whole lot of anime and then switched to reading novels ...:p

i disagree. you can read anywhere anytime while doing something and with a 3 years duration you can read a lot. since novels on NU isn't that long and some people have a very fast reading speed :blobmelt:

I have a lot of bookmarked novels too but i moved most of them to a saved for later file. I only have 46 novels that I'm reading once its updated.

I can understand the need to press that refresh button like a vice when you want to see if the next update was up or read everywhere just to pass the time when your idle. It was also the same for me as i moved from anime to manga to novels but never got to the point to learn another language.

Gz I guess? I have been using NU for 2 years and my list is still on like... 40 titles at most? I'm too lazy to check.

Not much time to read these days.

4 years anime, then moved to 3 years manga and now 3 years novels...
Obviously some are mixed, so it's not 10 years, but 7-8... ermm, where was I?

Oh yea, the topic is about reading lists.
I don't have one... but I do remember that at one time I had being reading actively 40+ novels...

Now I'm reading less than 10... and some I was reading haven't updated in a long long while...

And I don't have much time cause of exams, so... rip me.

Still, it's great reading some masterpieces ^^
