I have been wanting to read some interesting stories (completed) with a powerful mc or at least mc who is in control like everyone else is a returnee or Seoul station necromancer like the sort so I thought I will read sevens or any jp novels for that fact .so is it worth it ?I kinda feel like it will be like breakers or mc will be overshadowed by side characters or mc is a pushover or mc is like the anime mc who is indecisive or stupid all the time . Is sevens good or can you recommend me some good novel where mc is the top priority and preferably harem? (It's okay if it isn't harem if the story is good)

Well I won't recommend Sevens as a starter... but hey it depends on the person.

I'll recommend The Lazy King any day for newbies.

When you say the breaker, what comes up to mind is always The Breaker; New Waves manhwa...
Japanese are usually pacifist and the novel will be. And I cant stand pacifist soo yeah...

Rise of the Shield hero. By far one of the best novels on this site. Keep in mind it does get pretty emotionally heavy later on.

There are alot of generic Japanese novels, but dont see all Japanese novels as such.
Some are really good, Sevens is one of the best harems you can find.

And for some recommendations for Japanese novels:

Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? : Really good, can get confusing when the side stories happen, espically the war ones.

Overlord : Just go read it. This one is one of the best.

Evil God Average : Good, different from the other Japanese novels and just hilarious overall.

The Girl who Ate a Death God : Seriously good, can get dark, but it just drags you in the story, and doenst let you loose until the end.

Katahane no Riku : I just enjoyed it through the whole novel, seeing the story from both sides made me really like the characters.

naah, you said that there are awesome JP novels and i agreed. It is just usually i come across the good ones in manga form, so i couldn't readily read the novel. The example is i read tate yuusha in manga first.

Yeah some worth it but most aren't maybe it just me but i can't really handle beta mc like never ever again it just made me puke and more lately i can't even handle those long ass cooking scene & finding ingredient and lots of repetitive monologue or shit like that it made me really annoying

Maybe i already lost most of my faith in jp novel

CN novel despise psycho mc or rapist mc i still can read it and it not really annoy me like when i'm read some jp novel either

    That depends...

Are you the target demographics? If not then JP novels are not for you.

    END.
