フィクションはディスプレイを越えてまで殴ったりして来ない! I kinda understand the meaning, but I couldn't really translate ディスプレイを越えて Is it the same as 'being immersed in the fiction'? Thank you for your help in advance!
Can you provide more context, please? So far what I can make out of this, "Fiction display is more than what you think!" And I have no idea what fiction display is.
it's about speedrunning a game. She got addicted with playing a game thoroughly. And then she said that. そんなこんなで仕事以外の他人に関わるのが面倒になって、ハマるようになったものがある。 ゲームのやり込み。 フィクションはディスプレイを越えてまで殴ったりして来ない! なんて素晴らしい!
Is she playing in the arcade? Coz this line ゲームのやり込み。could also mean "Game Highest Score" フィクションはディスプレイを越えてまで殴ったりして来ない!means "I will not stop hitting (the button?) until I made it into the fiction display (or just display/ scoreboard)!"
フィクションは殴ったりして来ない! Fiction doesn't try to hit me/you! フィクションはディスプレイを越えてまで殴ったりして来ない! Fiction doesn't go so far as trying to hit me/you (by jumping) through the display! I guess the speaker says, "No matter how long you play a game, you don't get injured by it."
Agree with @sparantan The key is that in the second sentence: Fiction is the topic (HA), screen is the object (WO) of the verb Pass/Koete, which is the continuative of the verb Hit/Nagitarishite which is the continuative of the verb Won't Happen/Come True/Konai.
Ahhhh okaay. The speaker did get hit by other people. So, her trying to say that fictions wouldn't try to hit her made sense. Thank you guys!
