That's skill, like a talent, not Skills like firebreath or something. He puts points into things like mana control, and that lets him learn Skills like Magic Edge easier, but he still needs to visualize the effect, and regulate the power usage. He actually makes all his skills more complicated by turning them into programs, with overly complicated variables, and set conditions.

 

but you cant compare satou with a real hard working MC from weak-to-strong guy.

OP is looking for abandoned orphan CN protag in a R-15 and over JP story, where the mc wows the womens with his brains and hard work, instead of having a god given harem attraction aura. the name of the thread also implies he doesn't really want to look too hard.

Actually, I too hate those type of CN, I was more thinking of novels loke ISSTH, Renegade Immortal, or Stellar Transformation.

 

Do you want absolutely Japanese, or are you open to Japanese like Chinese or Korean WN?
Because, while being Chinese, The Experimental Log of the Crazy Lich is really Japanese like, and awesome, especially the later chapters.

It's the majority of what's translated though: either a wimpy good natured dumb Japanese mc, or a psychopathic murdering "it's all about the face" Chinese mc.
Clever worthy of admiration good Japanese or Chinese mcs are neglected.

 

I'm already reading The experimental log of crazy lich, but it's not whhat I want because the comic part overshadows the srious part.
