So I watched Mulan with my 9 yld nephew and for the first time in decades I pondered about it. I mean holy shit Mulan and all of Shang's men fucking went from absolute novices to freaking legends in like 1~2 days of training. Like I never thought about it but from the time the song "I'll Make a Man out of you" started to the end I only saw like one to two days pass by max but towards the end everyone was already master soldiers. Shit must have been really advanced military wise after the 16 kingdoms time passed. Opinions?
That's.....well, time skip, or training arc, or training session, or training montage, or etc.....It basically warp space and time. It might look like 1-2 days to you, but probably in the cartoon then it's more than that, like every times they showed a different character, I think that it already a different day and not on the same day.
It’s obv the magic of the song. People often make the mistake in thinking it’s cos their military is advanced when in fact the power is all in the song and the lyrics. It pretty much hypnotises them into becoming OP~
Well, in the original "Ballad of Mulan" she is away for twelve years before she returns home... so it's just that disney warped things like it usually does.
To be fair, they were already pretty amazing for novices, just look at the guy who didn't lose his teeth from trying to climb a log with them. lol
