Fixing a corrupted raw memory card

    Its a microsd used in mobile phones im using and Ive been trying to format it

    Its not a big sd card sir its the one used in phones

    Have you tried cleaning it? It usually works unless the storage is totally corrupted.

    Formatting a memory card is dead simple on Windows and Linux. If you aren't able to do so, the problem is probably a hardware issue. Likely issues: your card reader isn't working, your computer isn't working, or your microSD card is going bad or is dead. Try using a different card reader or a different computer to see if that's the issue. Also, try formatting a microSD card that you know is working. If you're able to format the good memory card but not the one you're having issues with, the issue is likely that the card is bad.

    buy an new one. micro sd is fairly cheap now

    You mentioned Diskpart...

    Sounds like you've buggered up the partition information.

    This will require research to fix. I've recovered bad partition storage before, but it is tricky and so very easy to mess up.

    Safest bet buy a new one. Managing things like the boot loader in Windows or repartitioning an ext-2 partition is NOT for mundanes...it requires specialized knowledge of partitioning magic.

    (one of the very first tools for partitioning in Windows was called Partition Magic) :p
