Non-Fic I'm stupid and i need help!

So... in the next two weeks i should be geting a new notebook and with that i'm thinking about finishing my book, thing is, i wanted to make a game about it, but i never learned programing and was wondering if anyone here knows how to program and create games, is interested in helping me out with it...

Or should I just give up in that stupid dream of mine and just finish my book?

 

Actually making game is not THAT difficult simple and old rpg style though, YouTube can help you a lot.
But just finish your book.

 

You should just finish the book. Programming a game isn't something that can be done with just a few tips. If you took CS for one semester, you may be able to program simple game like snake. Rather than asking for help making the game, it would be more realistic to ask someone to make the game for you.

Edit: I do not know what complexity of a game you want.

Finish the book so you have a solid story and then pick a simple game maker to learn how to make a game. You can try Ren'py or quest to make basic interactive fiction.

I have prety much everything in my head already, and some more for 2 other books...

Just in need of some finishing touch... here and there...

 

Making game wasn't that hard, preparing for the sprite(continuous image to make it look as if the image are moving) and all was more harder than making the game itself(as long as your game not too complex)
if you just want to focus on the story progression, just download the framework that has template so you don't need to create it yourself. Unity was quite famous and has a lot of feature you better not thinking to create it yourself. , but it's can be a burden depend on your computer spec.

Ah. also, if you only plan to create it for fun, the game can be simple. But, if you plan to commercialize it, the interface and all can't be only template, which is annoying

Even I had a dream to make a game... But we need a studio of developers to make even the simplest of games....

 

The fact that i'm making a book, is just so I can sell the story more easily

 

Just go watch a bunch of youtube video about the genre of game you want to make as there should be more then enough people on their with enough experience to game making then here.

 

What kind of game do you envision?

 

Well I will make a game in the future for the latest console present at that time...
For now I will try learning some web development so that I can make the novel I write more appealing... Then when everything is ready I shall write the novel and later make the game....

 

Noones gonna make a full game for you... I could at most make a prototype for you if you manage to motivate me ._.
People who can and like to make games are busy making their own games :v Everyone has more plans than time to make games, just learn how to make a game and do it yourself~
Maybe get some help though, I make graphics, music and programming on my own and it really takes alot of my time to get something I can show around ._.
