Im now reading The Silly Alchemist. Is there something similar Btw what's the difference wuxia/xianxia?
iirc one of them is pure martial arts, the other is cultivation, i can't remember which one tho. And as a tip, next time you need to know what a tag means, look up the definition by clicking on the tag, looking at the top of your screen right below where it says novel updates, and then clicking the blue arrow beside the name of the tag
Wuxia also coincides with ancient or past (historical) events, with some modern stories (once in a while); but it's about martial arts. Xianxia is immortal cultivation (primarilly daoist). This can be other world or current world, doesn't matter. Xianhuan is the one more confused with xianxia, and it is miscellaneous fantasy. Commonly is cultivation, but not always. Genre is considered to have more western themes implemented, but just classify it as less strict xianxia.
Martial arts stories (like Jackie Chan movies) : a character can fight a dozen opponents, cut a rock in half and leap over a low wall. Wuxia (like Condor Heroes or Heaven Sword Dragon Saber) : martial arts fantasy, a character can fight an army, write letters into a cliff face with sword energy, and leap over a small hill. Xianxia : daoist cultivation to immortality characters can fight mythical beings or gods, cut the fabric of reality, and leap through worlds. Xuanhuan : more straight up Chinese styled fantasy, power levels can vary and it can easily borrow elements from wuxia or Xianxia.
