now, im confused here, like really confused here. Im not a hater but someone who is concerned with those translators and you call me a hater because of that? Do you think that by saying "haters gonna hate" make you right automatically?

I think it's because it's not an easy novel to read which honestly doesn't matter since the story is amazing

#12 Blatant attempts by QI to manipulate Amazon reviews/ratings for one of their novels.
    https://forum.webnovel.com/d/8017-tgif-19

    TGIF#19
    Dear fellow Daoists,

This week's TGIF will be a mass release that has been brewing for a long while.
The improved "Bringing the Nation's Husband Home" ebook has been released on Amazon. We invite all BNHH readers to leave comments on Amazon!

    links

If this book's 5-star ratings on Amazon reach a certain number, we will mass release the corresponding number of chapters of 'Full Marks Hidden Marriage: Pick Up a Son, Get a Free Husband' to thank all of you.

If the number of 5-star ratings reach:

    100: 50 chapters

    200: 100 chapters

    300: 150 chapters
Seriously, its almost embarrassing how much QI manages to kick themselves in the face.

Ignore and do not support Qidian. They have contributed nothing positive to this community and all of you shills should be ashamed.

Is rating manipulation like that allowed on Amazon?

See my edit below. It's almost certainly not allowed. If you want to take action against the manipulation, send an email to [email protected] and explain to them that QI is the publisher of the novel, webnovel.com is their online portal, and that they're offering free chapters for good reviews and ratings. Be sure to include the link to the product page https://www.amazon.com/Bringing-Nations-Husband-Home-1-ebook/dp/B07D9DC1VT and this link https://forum.webnovel.com/d/8017-tgif-19 as proof.

In case QI takes down their post, I've also uploaded a screenshot to imgur:
    https://imgur.com/a/KY6rCVM

Also, a web archive link for proof in case they edit their forum post: https://web.archive.org/web/20180616030937/https://forum.webnovel.com/d/8017-tgif-19

    Edit:
Best guidance I could find: https://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=201929730

    From Amazon's seller portal: https://sellercentral.amazon.com/gp...0&language=en-US&ref=efph_200386250_cont_1801

Qidian, is just one of those characters that, will always find a way to be in everyone's business.
Not everyone hates Qidian, and I don't even know if Hate is a good way to describe the long story of Qidian's history.

There's like Mega merge threads on this and I don't really care much about QI. I give props to Translators that translate QI works, who are not contracted to QI, just because its like an uphill battle.

OP's Why? could be answered by just checking NUF's archives
GT & QI mega merge thread
Mega Merged WW & Qidian Thread (1.0)
    Qidian Mega-merge thread 2.0

If you have the free time to look for answers. I'm sure you can find them there.
As for me, I'm just passing through

I can use free and pay in the same sentence because free has multiple meanings. It can mean a product with no price behind it, and it can also mean a lack of restrictions.

In this case, the restriction — which was previously not much of one — has grown into something that doesn't allow me to read the story liberally.

As for your first half, it basically means you contribute nothing to the topic on hand. For the second half, you're incredibly ignorant if you think QI only has xianxia content. They have qihuan, sci-fi, romance, modern fantasy, gaming, sports, and other kinds of stories. I feel it's rather ironic you're telling people to broaden their horizons.

And simply reading on QI doesn't mean one can't read elsewhere. I never did get this kind of argument/saying. Why can't I read on QI and read on WW or GT? Why can't I drink both coca-cola AND pepsi? Why can't I buy an Xbox and a Playstation? Stupid people making stupid arguments after stupid restrictions.

To hate implies to care. Can't really bring myself to care for any of their work aside from one.
They're not picking up and translating Great Tang Idyll. It's been a long while since the last release.
    Meh.

Xianxia is a colloquial term used by this community.
I will rephrase, YY novels. That is more accurate but I doubt many get it.
And yes you cannot use free and paid in this context.
Your play at semantics is pathetic at best.
You cannot complain that a paid product is not free.
Webnovel.com was in a beta stage. It was pretty obvious that it would start charging soon.
One more thing, if you want to call someone ignorant at least be informed.

This is still a pretty dumb thread.
Of course fan translators or amateur do not charge: because they do not pay the authors.

Piracy has skewered the mindset of this generation that they actually believe that products and services should be free.
And don't use Google as an example, they get sued alot for being pirate and shutdown their free services consistently eg goo.gl because it's not sustainable

Do the Chinese authors of Strongest Hokage and the other series which are simply glorified fanfiction pay the original creators of the characters they stole royalties?
China gives no craps about intellectual property. If the chinese are wiling to pay for fanfiction, fine, but if we have to "follow the rules" then so should the authors. In places other than China, you can't take someone's story, steal it and sell it.
