    I mean real plot not the fan-service kind of plot.
    Edit: i already read both of them is just that i was re-reading sekirei and this question stroke me suddenly.

    Do you want a manga without any proper plot and only "plot"? Choose To Love Ru
    Do you want a manga with a pretty good plot and "plot"? Choose Sekirei

    There's some character development in To love Ru, but the story has no real direction, beyond "Yuuki's harem will be massive." So yeah, this one goes to Sekirei, on both counts.

    By storywise, then Sekirei is more serious.
    By "fan service" wise, then To Love-ru no question needed.

    Sekirei has more plot, since to love ru is just slice of life with plot as side topping.

    ++ sekirei win on both type of plot

    They have a different sort of plot. To-love-ru has a 'random naive princess falls on my doorstep- slice of life type plot' whereas Sekirei has a more action oriented 'monster of the week-style battles with battle maidens while we save the world' plot.

    Personally i think to-love-ru is the better story but to each his own.

    Definitely Sekirei, yeah. I mean, c'mon, it actually *has* a plot. To Love-Ru is more gibberish romantic comedy.

    Highly recommend reading both, anyway. Y'know, for anyone that hasn't.

    to love ru has no plot. it's just a generic daily life kinda thing with an alien princess shtick to it. virtually nothing plot wise happens most of the time, just the usual high-jinx you expect from a daily drama or so.

    sekirei on the other hand has an actual plot regardless of how much it might get side-tracked by fan-service so you do get an actual story to enjoy while giant boobs and butts bounce around.

    To Love Ru is good, but has the typical dickless jap MC. If you expect any progress in romance (love, not ecchi), than prepare to be completely frustrated.
